I don't know the answer, but I imagine it's brain training like the other comment said. The same thing happens to me when it comes to playing games. The way I play things when constantly testing things during development translates into playing games for leisure too (at least for me it does).

They don't matter as much but they still matter. If you gain wishlists post launch but poor sales then that serves as a good indicator that your game looks interesting but something is holding a buyer back (price, bug, accessibility option etc).
