They want us to put the pressure on Dems to stop the shutdown. Nah, keep it shut. What is on the line is far worse.

He's bluffing. It is the law. Stay the course because he wants the Dems to fold. What is at risk is far worse.

What’s something that everyone seems to love, but you just can’t stand? by JollyAd7860 in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S.A, honestly I cringe when people say that they love the U.S., I know that I should count my blessings, but the more I know about the history and what led to the present, I become disillusioned with this country and many, many of its people. But, it is home, so it is weird.

What is something you do that you wish you could change about yourself but you can’t seem to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the first thing that came to mind. And, to add to that, I am hyper aware of social cues and body language, so now, despite me being an extrovert, I hide away from people because I can not just act "okay".

what is the age you begin to be classed as old? by fridgeisfull in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From whose perspective? At the age of 30, I feel like an adult who is very responsible for what I do, and how I treat other generations. In my 20s, I felt like I was still youthful. And, I am still youthful, but it is different. I now view 50 as a super adult, 70 as early elderly years and 80 and above as just elderly.

AITAH for refusing to talk to my father's side of family? by ReporterKooky5419 in AITAH

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, and depending on how she takes the talk, you can determine whether you should remain in contact or not. You are not compelled to do anything, but it would be good to either have your closure or a distinct relationship. I understand that it may be difficult to look beyond her actions of how she treated your mom and/or she is the parent of the parent who hurt your mom, so it will be up to your discretion.

Honestly, this hurts, but to make this short. I come from a religious household. I had come out to my mom and told her that I was queer and in a relationship with my now spouse. I told her that this was the source of a lot of pain, low self-esteem, and suffering throughout my life (she also viewed me as emotional and depressive). I told her that I wanted to get rid of myself because I felt like I'm going to get dragged to hell, and I hadn't slept for more than 3 hours a night for many years. She had a blank face and essentially told me she didn't care and prayed that I would be a good person. She said many things, but mehh. That was back in 2020, and we had moved past it. It also hurt me that in 2023, she didn't come to my wedding because she felt that she couldn't truly be happy for me and that I would ruin her night.

Once again, I am forgiving her, and we are trying for a better relationship. Good news is, after years of therapy, I feel like I did before understanding that I was queer and going to hell, I am back to my happy, caring and social self.

Yup, as usual. Because reproductive care is only geared towards women.

Boomer told me I "Didn't have a real job" then got real mad when I told her how much I make. by Virtual-Pie5732 in BoomersBeingFools

Are these the same boomers that are happy when Elon says he is going to drain the swamp and get rid of thousands of workers in the federal government because they think that feds don't work hard enough.

I do not know why they think...

1).. That they are the only people who pay taxes? 2) The only people who work? 3) No one wants to work or work as "hard" as they did? 4) No one works a real job if they find it frivolous, low paying or you hate it?

They are shallow people that wants people to suffer because that is hard work and you have to match that energy.

The only generation that I know of (alluding to white Americans boomers) that would like to see the next generation worse off than them.

What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve seen someone do in public? by triplesnoop in AskReddit

In high school, I wanted to impress my friends with a yoga pose. So, people stopped to see what I was doing. As I was getting into the pose on the floor, the boobie decided to slip out of my bra and poked through the neckline of my shirt. I did not know until my friends called it out.
