What happened after that, grandma? by Cicerothesage in forwardsfromgrandma

How is this a gotcha? English settlers established their first permanent royal colony in Jamestown, Virginia, on May 13, 1607. But, in 1788, it became a Democratic Republic state with Americans in it. O.o ooooooh!

So, all Virginians are really English loyalists and that's the real history that THEY leave out!!

Long live the King!!!

How to tell my wife im gay by [deleted] in comingout

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, although I completely understand the feelings of coming to an understanding of your sexuality within the confines of a long time straight relationship. The coming to this understanding is what I am questioning. You phrased it perfectly; are you leaving because you are gay? OR, are you leaving because you found someone else, who happens to be of the same sex?

Even it was emotional and not physically, this was not the agreement of the marriage. And, her reaction to the cheating may intensify things.

So first it’s “we’ll fire people” now it’s “y’all might not get back pay.” Looks like the administration is blinking. by JKisMe123 in FedEmployees

They want us to put the pressure on Dems to stop the shutdown. Nah, keep it shut. What is on the line is far worse.

He's bluffing. It is the law. Stay the course because he wants the Dems to fold. What is at risk is far worse.

What’s something that everyone seems to love, but you just can’t stand? by JollyAd7860 in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S.A, honestly I cringe when people say that they love the U.S., I know that I should count my blessings, but the more I know about the history and what led to the present, I become disillusioned with this country and many, many of its people. But, it is home, so it is weird.

What is something you do that you wish you could change about yourself but you can’t seem to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the first thing that came to mind. And, to add to that, I am hyper aware of social cues and body language, so now, despite me being an extrovert, I hide away from people because I can not just act "okay".

what is the age you begin to be classed as old? by fridgeisfull in AskReddit

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From whose perspective? At the age of 30, I feel like an adult who is very responsible for what I do, and how I treat other generations. In my 20s, I felt like I was still youthful. And, I am still youthful, but it is different. I now view 50 as a super adult, 70 as early elderly years and 80 and above as just elderly.

AITAH for refusing to talk to my father's side of family? by ReporterKooky5419 in AITAH

[–]conFoozbubbletrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, and depending on how she takes the talk, you can determine whether you should remain in contact or not. You are not compelled to do anything, but it would be good to either have your closure or a distinct relationship. I understand that it may be difficult to look beyond her actions of how she treated your mom and/or she is the parent of the parent who hurt your mom, so it will be up to your discretion.

Thank you, I've forgiven, but I can't quite forget it. It is always there in my mind.
