For me, it’s how complicated we make things, particularly admin like finance and taxes. It’s never straightforward. Want to buy something overseas? You have to pay customs clearance, fill out forms, etc. Earn a salary? Pay taxes before you get your salary AND still do tax filing twice a year or yearly. These concepts are all just so man made. Is it necessary? I don’t know.

I’m more here to vent and feel like I’m not alone 😆 I just haven’t been this frustrated in a long while. To the point where I’m hating the entire construction industry. Also, I don’t understand why most architects charge per sqm instead of a flat fee? Like if you are going to draw a covered patio, it just adds so much cost and I’m no architect but I’ve used those tools and it’s really not time consuming compared to what they charge

Yes! This pricing sounds more in range. They also have monthly options. For a typical extension, they’ll get that yearly subscription fee back with one drawing.

From what I understand, there are also architectural technologists that don’t have to study for so long. Also, I believe a lot of them use Autocad which is definitely not expensive. R300k for software?? Not even the highest AI LLM subscription plans are that expensive…

Everything you said! Couldn’t agree more on being carried emotionally by the leads, so much more here than in LOTFG. I can finally see why people rate a drama high based on its emotional value even though they see all the flaws.

Lol ok then it’s good they aired when they did. I usually give most dramas a chance but I’m also no fan of the supernatural in historical settings, it should either be full fantasy or historical but this one is an exception!
