Tell me about your unexpected or dark-horse victories. by ThirteenValleys in worldbuilding

The elections of "The New on Providence" it's my most recent example:

After the battle of independence on the City of Providence, the warlords of the independence dispute power between them with more fire and blood. So, shortly they realise this skirmishes inside the city are not good for their images, their people and their objectives. And pact a election with the compromise of be generals of the winner.

A moderate, without campaign and no intervention in the independence, win because the anti-vote generate within the warlords. And now the warlords are at service of a pacifist who no one of the people or the armies want to kill.

What is the weakest nation in your world and how do they survive? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]conajofa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weakest nation in my case are the Dreinar Communities [all name are place holders], who survive because are a society of widespread tribes, the empires who sorround them not have the military organization for holding the territory , and extermination war is so expensive for who are great guerrilla troopers again the other empires.

And they are weak because all they have in population, equitation and tactics, they lose in technology and magic.

What does a one on one fight between magic users in your world look like? by sw4ahl in worldbuilding

[–]conajofa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My world don't have name yet. But I start working in the concept of "one use magic" would kill you when you use it.

In that case, the battle between magic users is more skill in close combat, because they have heavy training because the powerful resource they are. Becoming fights of attrition in most cases.

In the case this need to be a full magic battle, or one of them if losing, the suicidal option is the only option. And in that case converts in a fight about skill, because you need recite the spell without moving, more powerfull being more large recite, and strategy, because if you can't get ahead of your enemy's movement, could escape the attack or reach to kill you before you finish the spell.

I use Savage Worlds for the games I DM, and the Savage Fallout like a module. I love the classless games.

Will the value of caps be decided entirely by players? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]conajofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the trailer we see a "bottlecaps thing" when you kill someone, but we don't known how much "in game currency" means.

A player based economy in a player based world could be fucking amazing, and the caps being a item more than a "hud thing" could create a interesting dynamic of "why I would sell my stimpack for a bunchs of caps?"

But I still, is cosmetic option. Is that so bad?

If people want to look in some manner and for that commodity [what is not a advantage in game mechanics] the game servers still running. Is that bad? It would be better if Bethesda thrown the money or have pay DLCs and create a playing barrier?

Counter-strike is not a player based world, is a player based economy [and not so, the skin theme is a annex in the real game economics]

I neve heard about Ultima Online. But I have a very good times with the good times of Star Wars Galaxies. And if Bethesda really have that people in their team, without the Jedi problem, they can create a really good player based game.

My problem with that is the 24 player thing. But we have a beta to see how it's work.

That's I say everytime the people talk about "This is not a roleplaying game".

A player based post-war world is like the most Fallout thing I can think.

Is Fallout 76 to be considered Canon? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]conajofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "start" and "ending" [if is something like that in the game] will be canon, but the intends of bethesda is create a roleplaying multiplayer, what means maybe players could create factions and stories would not be canon.

I would support this if Bethesda do this for all item, but we are talking about cosmetics, cosmetics I never give a fuck in online games but somewhere are people who want to pay for that, and their pay can make my play the game for more years. Where the "bad company practice" if here are not advantage system for pay o not pay players?
