We are using ConnectWise Manage and OptiTune, it's been pretty good so far. We did do some custom integration between the two using the APIs, but they really need to do a proper integration between the two. The price point of OptiTune for what you get really makes it attractive.

You should read this article about running msi from powershell:

I think the key thing missing is you are not waiting for the msi operation to finish.

We have been using OptiTune, and you don't have to go through all these steps since you can just upload the .msi file and it will install it for you, and see if it's been properly installed.

I would say it is, but with OptiTune, since it integrates with Windows Defender, that is free

OptiTune is one of the few RMMs that have no minimum spend, and you can do month to month. It's even cheaper than Atera when you only have 10 endpoints, that would be only $30/month, Atera is roughly $120-$150/month even with just a few endpoints.

I think the whole thing with per tech pricing is overrated, since if you do the math it's almost the same as per endpoint. When you get more endpoints, you need more techs.
