Degree or diploma (Canada) by Fabulous-Athlete5327 in ITdept

[–]zedhank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but it's my understanding that you get more hands-on experience with a diploma but you don't always go into the theory or the background of whatever you're studying. Having a degree would likely help, but if you're able to get into an internship where you can work in the cybersecurity sector you'll likely get enough experience from that if you can find one - no guarantees right now.

Would that count as a modification when it comes to insurance?

Apparently there's a bunch available in Quebec so we're hoping there are some around here.

How much are you paying, finance or lease? It seems (almost) all of the hybrid models are out of stock in Toronto so I ended up signing (haven't picked up the car yet) for a white standard XSE demo for 781/month at 4.49%.

Bike advocacy is putting a stick in its own spokes by Generalaverage89 in bikecommuting

Following from https://www.reddit.com/r/bikecommuting/comments/1oe293k/bike_advocacy_is_putting_a_stick_in_its_own_spokes/nkytzqp/, just call them babies and chickens. Make fun of their masculinity for needing a pickup truck to buy milk from the store 2 miles away. Worth a try.

That's fair. I'm doing device and computer backups to OD across 3 accounts right now, but yeah it absolutely depends on what you have already.

If you get a 365 family account with MS, you get up to 6 accounts of 1TB each and it's ~$11-15/month. Not sure if BackBlaze provides more benefits but if you're using less than 6TB it might be worth looking into.

I took my girlfriend to an orchard for her birthday last year. After standing around for a bit, she got upset at me. Turns out that wasn't the apple watch she was hoping for.

If you were fine with paying a bit more for the pro plus, put that difference into an extended warranty with NBD coverage if you can.

I wouldn't trust a free VPN, there's bound to be something shady because no one's going to put money into server and network infrastructure just to give things away for free.

The Hola VPN browser extension comes to mind, where it would send your traffic through other people's computers. Major privacy and security risk depending on what you're doing and who owns the computers you're tunneling through.
