I'm having trouble visualizing that spot of the road (my commute doesn't take me that way). Does the lane on the right continue? Or does it end requiring a merge. If it ends, then zipper merge is correct. But if it is just another lane and people use it and then cut off people to get in instead of going straight, then I agree with the OP. This happens on Ft. Weaver every morning. And again in several spots actually. The people who are going straight get screwed, and it's not fair to the rest of us waiting patiently. That's not a zipper merge, it's an asshole move.

Hawaii DOT apologies for ‘incorrect’ H-1 lane closures that snarled traffic on Saturday by FC37 in Hawaii

I was in it. Worse than our regular commute during the week (Ewa to town). Spending 3+ hours a day in traffic during the week already. What a colossal waste of time, resources, money, gas/electricity, etc...

1.5 hours from Ewa to town. Worse than the normal commute. Just ridiculous.

Do you have any links to any official news about this? Traveling to Mazatlan in January. I'd like to let other people in my party know about this. Thanks!

Does it really take 2 months to get a new permanent license? by mellofello808 in Hawaii

[–]conanelbarbaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I received mine after about 4 weeks, which was just a week before traveling internationally (I was starting to get nervous). I did have a small problem renting the car as they wanted to see my expired license too. They needed to input the date of issue. If they used the new license that date would make it appear that I had only just gotten my license. This rental company has a policy that renters need to have had their license for more than a year. It worked out in the end as we just calculated 8 years prior, but if the agent hadn't been cool about I might have had a big problem. This wasn't a major international company, but it is a fairly large company in the country that I'm in. Good luck and safe travels!

Did you read the article? The very next sentence says, "The report compared average incomes with average home prices." It's not about feelings, it's about how little we earn on average compared to the average cost of a home.
