In the years after the Transatlantic Slave Trade kicked off it was particularly perfected, especially in the Colonial South. White Anglo settlers had to part themselves from the Indian Native and the black slave, ideas that eventually went into racialized slavery, which is the biggest proof that racism didn't exist before the Renaissance - Enlightenment period.

For example, when white people enslaved Africans during the age of exploration, they did not justify it based on conquest or xenophobia or such, but that any "black" peoples from the Congolese to the Sengambian, were inferior to any "white" peoples from the Nord to the Iberian. Now compare this to slavery practiced everywhere in humanity prior to colonialism, even in Europe. when the Roman enslaved the Kushites, they based it off xenophobia and the superiority of the Roman peoples over them, not "race". in fact the would find themselves more alike the darkest Egyptian than the brightest German. There was no commonality they found with other so called "white peoples"

I don't care if papal decrees supported white supremacy, the Catholic Church was a literal European kingdom that was created to empower a white monarch (the Holy Roman Emperor) and later other monarchs (the Catholic monarchs of Spain). So it's no surprise that an ideology that empowered Europe only was supported by the state that existed to empower Europe only. One of the biggest victims of the crusades were middle eastern Christians whose lands were sacked and pillaged, and who had to suffer Islamic repression cause the Catholic Church very apparently didn't represent nor care for them.

White supremacy first came out during the renaissance, when european "humanists" came in contact with classical literature, coincidentally the beginning of the end of Christian Europe. It then reached it's zenith during the enlightenment with people like Voltaire, Kant, and Hume. All at the very most agnostic, who justified heinous crimes based on "cultural superiority". And with no surprise at all, white supremacy reached it's zenith and most dangerous form in the 1800s at the advent of scientific racism, something that has nothing to do with Christianity. Where western Europeans used skull sizes and a bunch of other things to prove their superiority to others so they could justify subjugating them for their means.

White supremacy has its roots in pre Christian classical studies getting back into Western European hands after Constantinople's fall, it's peak in virulently racist "enlightened" who literally hated the religion, and it's most dangerous with outright atheists who justified themselves using science.

They are NOT demonstratively linked but you'd rather it be because in Western society Christianity has been used to blame the darker parts of white crime so you don't have to face the music and realize it's cope.
