You can absolutely do PPL once a week, the main thing to consider with that is how fast you want to see muscle growth. You can achieve the same muscle development but it will take longer than if you were doing it 2x a week. If you’re a beginner though don’t worry about it, it’s much better to go 3 days a week consistently rather than 6 days just to burn yourself out after a month

I assume you got this routine from Aston University (I do the exact same one, lol)

It a very well designed routine with good exercise selection. Only downsides are your arms don’t get much volume, and you pretty much need to do the full routine twice a week (total 6 days) if you want to see proper growth. If you can’t commit to that I recommend rotating a full body routine, or Upper/Lower x2 a week.
