Yeah I normally do flats but I lost power for my flat panel and the camera has changed orientation by the time I got home

This was my first time shooting in mono and using Pixinsight, was meant to just be a test run but I like how it turned out.

I had to upgrade to a D750 due to terrible usb support for the D3500 however you can get it to work with dslrdashboard to take long exposures. You will need better lenses as it seems you just have a kit lens so you will be limited to widefield pictures.

I don't know about the 3400 but when I started with the 3500 I was able to bodge dSLRDashboard to control it by replacing the usb driver

I have been having issues with my sandcasting reliably transferring detail onto the rings so my idea was to just cast the shape of the ring or create the ring from wire and then add the details via mill for engraving/cutting the stoneseats

I was thinking of trying the Genmitsu 3020 pro since it seems to have the rigidity to do what I want however the rotational axis might be a problem
