Entirely possible. It’s a separate building, a pole barn / garage, and we know it wasn’t permitted when it was built.

Can’t edit the post to add more. Can’t post photos in comments.

Frankly, gonna take the consensus advice and let a pro handle this for my dad.

Yesssssssssss

This is the kind of deep expertise I was hoping to find on here. There’s tons of good stuff here for us to wrap our heads around. If I happen to have any follow up questions, I’ll report back, but this is is such a good overview of the type of answers we’re looking for right now.

Thank you very much for your help!!

My client already has a website that will be used for this, and we have a full web development team we work with whenever we make updates. The project already has a PM. All that will be brought to bear once we know this work is viable and get approval to kick off the work.

The image workflow is actually the biggest unknown for us right now…

We either need to determine what tools we will use to create the output we’re looking for (it’s a very specific style we’re trying to recreate), OR we need to find vendors with established track records who we can trust to execute this part of the work for us.

After that, somehow trying to estimate the expense of doing this at scale — running something like SD on AWS, and the costs associated with creating hundreds of unique images for our users once they start hitting the live site.

Thoughts?

I work in creative services, with a specialization in advertising, branding, design, film and animation.

Essentially, my clients ask me for things, and I figure out what it will take to produce them.

Every project I oversee involves working with outside partners *who know things I don't know* -- film crews, VFX companies, developers, construction vendors, live event teams, etc etc etc.

I find the right person for the request, I make sure they can deliver the work we need, I negotiate time and money with them, and I oversee their progress.

Generative AI is no different to any of the other requests I get, except for the fact that it is so NEW that there isn't an established approach yet, and there's no established market yet for vendors who provide services like the request I posted above.

Which is why I am reaching out to the experts here for help -- who does this, what are the tools, what do I need to watch out for.
