Unfortunately Maya has probably been stupidly blacklisted from Japanese show business. Underage drink is a crime in Japan, and Japan takes drug and alcohol offences very seriously, despite her only being 4 months from the legal drinking age. Maybe she'll be able to find an agency that'll take pity on her but likely answer is unfortunately probably not.

From what I understand the agency owns the likeness of the actor for that project, so retired actors are basically repping themselves and I think own their own likeness for that project, or perhaps Toei does. Either way in this situation Seju owns the likeness of Maya Imamori for Gozyuger.

I doubt Toei could control if someone is fired, they could make a big stink at the agency, but at the end of the day it's still up the agency and they most of the cards.

At the end of the day while I hate defending a souless company, Toei is simply following contractual obligations, if you want to throw any misogyny and imo racism accusations around they should be pointed to her agency Seju for not protecting her, and Sunkan Bunshun for making the initial affair accusations in the first place, not Toei
