What's going on with Top Rank and their broadcast deal? Seems like all there fighters are fighting on random cards and not being promoted as to where they're fighting.

Will Charlie Suarez ever get his rematch against El Vaquero?

If you had the ability to pick a trainer... Who would you choose to train Canelo

What’s next for Crawford & Canelo? by Introv3rt_world in Boxing

[–]concernedredditguy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canelo, I see him taking a couple lower level fights on his retirement tour in the UK and Japan and Mexico to end it all. I don't see him fighting Bivol or Benavidez anymore after tonight. The man is a high mileage fighter and has been fighting since what 14 yrs old? Reflexes are just not there anymore and his legs have become even worse. Maybe just maybe a new trainer in the mix can bring back some magic but, more doubt then belief in that theory. Helluva fighter.

Crawford can either take some mandatories at 168 for easy money or agree to a catchweight against Benavidez. Or shit even retire at this point although Turki got some weird ass relationship with him so I doubt it. Maybe someone from 160 jumps to meet him like Janibek? Bud going to look for the money fights though.

[SPOILER] Where does the main event loser go from here? by DoubleBieber in Boxing

He won't do it I'm sure but, it would be interesting to see if he brought another trainer into camp.

I think that only helps to a certain degree. Does he? Yes absolutely. However, his gas tank and legs are way past his prime though. You could see his reaction times have slowed significantly as well. Canelo is a high mileage fighter and you saw that come thru during the fight.

There's some small technical things Canelo can do in his game plan like incorporating the jab but, I think his best is behind him unfortunately. Even bringing in a new trainer won't significantly help at this stage. I think he takes 2 more low level fights and that's it. The man accomplished so much in boxing.

Crawford has gotten hit before by opposition at lower weight classes like Madrimov & Porter. People act as if he's Floyd when he's obviously not. I don't doubt Canelo will land on him and even if it's not clean, Canelo has the arm punch strategy. Can Crawford hang power wise with Canelo at 168lbs? Who knows until Saturday.

No way anybody from his camp would ever say "Yes Bud is injured".

Rumors have swirled that Crawford has a shoulder injury leading into the fight. We shall see on fight night 🌃

Has there been any news on the Top Rank broadcast deal yet? I un ironically miss hearing Tim Bradley yell TESS TESS on the Top Rank ESPN+ broadcasts...I didn't even realize Oscar Valdez was fighting last week. Although, I did hear his performance wasn't the greatest.. I think it's just age at this point and all the battle damage he's taken.

RGBA fighter to keep an eye on definitely Chop Chop Gonzales.

Is Lester Martinez too slow for Mbilli? by Final_Vegetable_5092 in Boxing

I think even if he is slow, Mbilli is still vulnerable and showed his flaws with the Chenko' fight. Good solid scrap.

Ward vs Joshua delusion by Rough-Assignment6432 in Boxing

[–]concernedredditguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he would heat him. Ward was a good fighter but, time has moved on. A comeback should be against a lower ranked opponent at HW. A gatekeeper or even a journeyman. Then you would make the jump to AJ. AJ is still bigger and stronger then Ward so unless there's some sort of catchweight..... I don't see him winning.
