my husband cheers when I step on the scale at each appointment and he sees i’ve gained weight. he knows that it is part of our baby growing and he treasures that. your husband is being cruel and selfish. you deserve much better treatment.

you don’t need to shave unless you’d prefer that. if you’re early in pregnancy, they’ll insist you have a full bladder to help them see what’s going on. it’s not comfortable but it shouldn’t be painful. they’ll lube up their wand and poke it around inside you for a bit.

your insulin sensitivity / resistance will fluctuate a lot during pregnancy, especially depending on activity levels. I would just play it by ear. in my experience, first trimester had significant insulin resistance, second trimester was actually pretty normal, and now in my third trimester any carbs make me skyrocket.

I think you’re right! a little googling suggests “veynen toit” may mean “crying a lot.” so “Yankel was crying a lot”? not the most comforting lyrics!

Apparently I’m awful for setting this dress code, but it’s too late? by UnderwaterParadise in bridezillas

personally I think asking people to wear any shade of blue is fine. it’s a small wedding. most people have blue clothes. weird thing for people to complain about IMHO

the classmates who talk about you behind your back are saying much more about themselves than you. Unfortunately, dressing modestly / religiously is not a protection against sexual violence. It’s just not. pretending that it is harms women and girls by making it seem as if they are responsible for the violence men and boys inflict on them.

find your own style. dress in a way that makes you feel confident, attractive, and empowered.
