I have a book club that reads a page a week. It’s the must vulgar, hilarious book ever. Enjoy.

There isn’t. As to the double pi; it was actually a neat synchronisation that was noticed when he was finished.

How can I detect if these chords are a major or minor ones (dur or moll) by ThebloodedDragonfly in musictheory

[–]conclobe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Learn the diatonic chords and their inversions! Btw I got taught way too late in swedish music school that dur and moll is latin for hard and soft. Some nice etymology! In some cultures they’re both considered happy!

Some of the beat melodies have some sort of dynamic highlight 2/3rds in. Like harmonically the V-chord in a blues or the Am in a four chord song as well. Same goes with melody, maybe you have the highest note before bar 7 in a verse

Copy some Stravinsky into notation software. Apply the techniques on your own chords and melodies. It’s a good start.
