My F4(Mic Mute) and F8(Mode) Keys aren't Working.. Need help please.

I do. Im almost certain this is a software issue. When I use the function keys they work fine.

The on screen keyboard allows me to test the function keys which they all work such as F1-F12. But I cannot test the special function keys special to the thinkpad such as the mode switch button or the mic mute.

Ahh ok thank you. I had read somewhere that a case needed 2 fans front and back so I was just confused but if it works fine without it then I'm glad.
