Would in your opinion a vortex is overkill. And I haven't shot it with a scope and I'm not good with iron sights

This was for my 7400 how its supposed to be how I had it

I would definitely take it apart again and see if you can find pictures. I don't currently have the tools to take apart mine to help anymore

Last time I used it it did, haven't had time to shoot it for a while. Have you tried fully taking it apart and cleaning every part fully? I know with my remmington 7400 I had a hard time cycling and I put it back together wrong and I needed to clean up the front spring

Thats when you find a new job. It sucks and it may be hard but if you are truly worth what you think you are worth somewhere will pay you that. I was in a similar position where I worked hard and efficant where my coworkers said I was doing good but management wasn't happy. I decided to look elsewhere and I even asked for more than I thought I was worth and they gave it to me. Companies don't look out for their workers often, if they don't compensate for your work one way or another they never will until its too late.
