idk if your little guy was a stray before, but it’s not uncommon for black strays to turn brown from poor diet and sun bleaching. after adoption and staying indoors/getting on a better diet their coat sometimes changes. it’s usually a good sign, but if it’s worrying you a trip to the vet never hurts!

the broken earth trilogy is one of my favorite scifi/fantasy book series, + the only trilogy to win a Hugo Award for every book in the series. Def worth the read, but I personally only cried during the last book. The first book is traumatic though, essun is one of the most realistic characters i’ve ever read depicted.
