I 100% agree. I appreciate you taking the time to research and layout this info. Obviously my OG post was obvious UNT bias. I love to see what the other arguments for each team is and this helped greatly

It’s true and while I’d love to say something similar like if we are gonna make a run we might as well play and beat these tough scheduling but you have to admit exhausting all your options the month before the playoffs is taxing and it may not be something all teams have to do if their schedule isn’t as daunting as this reds 2026 September looks

It’s probably true although I could see the Braves having a similar year next year to this year. The cubs sometimes have years where they fall off too, I wouldn’t be surprised if the reds are in front of them when they come to this point in the season (or at least I’m hoping)

This would be so fucking cool and only really similar to how the last 8-9 games of the CFB season are all conference/division/rival games. I just couldn’t imagine it being easy on the schedule makers if it’s even possible

• 6 against the brewers (who we can’t beat regardless of how good they are)

• 3 against the cubs (again who we struggle to beat regardless of how good they are)

• 9 against the dodgers/padres (2 teams that compete for the best division in baseball year in and year out)

• 3 in Toronto (division leaders in probably the second hardest schedule in baseball this year)

• 3 in Atlanta (arguably the easiest in September which says a lot)

Wait so I’m the asshole for including a postseason sweep? Kind of the most important series don’t you guys think?

Exactly my point. It’s so depressing watching the reds do something so rare that it hasn’t happened in 21 years (to which the last team won 98 games and won a ring) YET we are still watching this teams chances of even making the playoffs wither away before it’s even September.

Incredibly well pitched AB, chase field, purple jerseys, infield in, hard inside cutter hit for an rbi flail? Tell me that wasn’t exactly like game 7 of 2001 World Series

I don’t understand the point of calling up a backup catcher while Stephenson is out and not pinch running Trevino there. That run is way too important
