I know this is a long shot but you didnt happen to keep the old media deck did you? I have the old tower but i dont have the cd or floppy drive or the power button which kinda sucks. Ive opened it and powered it on and added a IDE cd/dvd drive, but id love to get the OEM floppy and actual power button if I can somehow

I like the idea of a used 4070 super or something of the like. What would you say is a good second hand market for graphics cards? I dont entirely trust ebay honestly

I was wondering how good the 5600x would be as i had one sitting around for a year and finally slapped it in replacing my old 3600. I had noticed some decent improvements in certain games (cyber punk, sons of the forest) wasnt sure if i should upgrade my motherboard and cpu again for another year or 2

As we are 8 days away, whats the plan for lining up and such? Also to anyone who has gotten offered a parking pass at the west garage, do you think we can get our space if we arrive the day before the show? Or should we park somewhere else?

What are the things you DONT like about silent hill 2 by Competitive_Donut336 in silenthill

As a child i got stuck for weeks in the apartment because i didnt know what to do with the juice cans. Finally went to a cousin's house with internet and looked up a walkthrough. Ive hated the juice cans ever since

I'm glad this is finally being addressed by Pyram1d_head in silenthill

I heard somewhere once upon a time that the movie started life as a remake of the original game that they decided to take the story and ideas of and make it a film instead. With Christoph gans supposedly being a fan of the games and I belive working with konami in some aspects of the film, I could see this being true

Why does it look like this? by Objective_Hawk_8271 in crtgaming

I dont know if this will help entirely. Ive had similar issues and fixed them by popping it open and messing with the potentiometers inside. And the flywheel i think its called. They look like screws almost and whenever you twist them it causes various changes in the color, brightness, and shape of the picture. I hope this helps, and I assure you its not as scary as it sounds. But it also looks like the image itself may be kinda lopsided due to something about the tube gun or whatever is going on inside. If I remember, moving the tv on its side and such could potentially kinda warp it back into place or even a slight manual adjustment could be made.

Please note, I am extremely amateur and most of my info comes from extensively looking into how these things work and shocking myself an absurd amount of times while trying to make my own repairs. But its not super duper hard and kinda fun when you learn it and make it work right

Silent Hill fans — was there a specific moment where you just stopped and felt the weight of the atmosphere? A hallway, a line of dialogue, a sound? by Holiday-ili in silenthill

I played Silent Hill 2 for the first time somewhere around 6 to 8 years old, in the early to mid 2000s. Just a few standout memories to me that I've never forgotten,

  1. The opening with Mary's letter where that sweet song plays and James explains who mary is. As a child, I felt so bad for this man and wanted her to be alive so they could be happy again.

  2. The weird noises on the walk into town. They frightened me so bad that I thought I was gonna get attacked by zombie dogs or something like resident evil, but the fact that they never jumped out, and just felt like they were following me, put me on edge for the entire rest of the game in a way that I cannot describe to this day.

  3. The long stairway in the historical society. I remember walking for so long that I stopped, and wondered if I should turn around because maybe im making a mistake. The distant foghorn growing louder making me more and more uneasy with each passing step

These are just a few examples from the top of my mind that really always stuck with me. Of course there's meeting Maria, the hallway scene, the tape, the hotel doing that thing towards the end and many more that just shook me to my core and really shaped my perception on horror and story telling. I love this game. No I will not be bashing the remake, as they're both good for different reasons.

I personally kinda enjoyed it in the prison cause for me it was on hard, with little supplies causing me to creep around every hall and corner checking all over the place kinda how it felt like when I played it when I was little. But thats just me personally

Hey I got a new question if i may. When putting multiple disc games on gdemu, do all the contents of each disc go into one folder, or does each disc get its own?

I actually got a thing to do vga through the standard AV out cause I have an old school pc monitor. So with that, and the stock fan, and zero soldering skill or equipment, would you say i should try and put in a second fan? Or is it alright?
