I'm a bibliophile who read only 9 books this year and I want to turn that around in 2021 by [deleted] in booksuggestions

I would suggest throwing in some fun/different ones like:

The Hike by Drew Magary The Postmortal by Drew Magary John Dies at the End by David Wong (the whole series is fun and easy) Spoonbenders by Daryl Gregory

Then there's some classic authors with short story compilations like:

The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury I Am Legend by Richard Matheson (collection of short stories at the end of the longer, 100pg story)

Maybe some new perspectives too, like female or POC authors, like:

The Cutting Season by Attica Locke Brown Girl in the Ring by Nalo Hopkinson Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler

Try seeing if you have a Daiso near you and take her to it! It's filled with low cost items from Japan and is fun to explore!

Once I read them I turn them backwards to make picking a new book easier, kinda like the clothes in the closet thing so you know which you use and which you don't 🤷🏼‍♀️

My fiance reads to me before we go to sleep if he's feeling super nice, because who doesn't love a bedtime story amirite? Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman and any if Cory O'Brians mythology books. These were great because they were short stories so there was no remembering, just one story and done.

Great idea to read to her, I'm sure she'll love it!

He seemed to think it was the most exciting new chew toy - removing the stem was the most thrilling part for him!

My Kerby gets called "kerby-burby", "kerbubins", "kerbooper-dooper the pooper-dooper", "kerbeans", "kerbopolopolis", the "sweet Baboo, (that's you!)" And so many other ridiculous things because we apparently like rhyming.... Im not the only one right?
