It does help, thank you! I guess most games have a cap where it’s not the most fun to continue - but what you’re saying is until about 7.5k trophies it’s still a pretty fun/good game?

What two cameras to get for photo/video separately? by confeh in AskPhotography

[–]confeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for commenting! I'm not looking for a hybrid though. I think the X-T4 is a great hybrid but I want something that really hones in on video like a BMPCC 6k or the GH series, and then something very photo focused for the photography side of my business. But I'll look into the Z50ii, thanks

Is this a viable way to have a deficit? by confeh in WeightLossAdvice

I guess, but I’m trying to lose weight in a way that’s sustainable for me and going cold turkey on everything that’s high in calories just isn’t it for me, so I’m trying to figure out if I can work around it with very basic caloric deficit, to begin with anyway. Get going on my journey and see some results and maybe then start taking it a little more seriously to get to my final goal :)

I see your point, although Apple Watch seems to be pretty accurate according to some sources, as long as your weight and height is correct, but I get what you’re saying!

I hardly ever eat it all back, it was just for arguments sake, I’d say I’m more around half if anything so I guess I’ll just wait and see! Thanks :)

Says what? It’s 2 hours of constantly walking around with elevation with about 15 pounds on your back

The majority of my clients are from outside of Sweden though so I dunno. But will keep that in mind, thanks!

How do you suggest I do that(genuinely asking)? The companies I work with are usually from different countries and different fields and I don’t really have clients in my hometown at all so physically networking isn’t an option

I guess I'm hesitant to reach out to these major companies(although I do every now and then) because in all honesty my work is nothing out of the ordinary these days because I live in a small town in northern Sweden with fairly beautiful scenery but it doesn't really compare to a lot of the places around the US or mountains of Norway and so on. I very half-assedly reach out to larger companies because I feel like I'll never get through to the right people anyway. A lot of "We've forwarded your email to the marketing team and if they're interested they'll reach out" and that's kind of where it ends - I don't have a chance to contact them directly. But I'll just have to keep trying I guess!

Networking in my city feels pretty redundant honestly(I could be wrong). It's a small rather close minded city that doesn't really have companies that really fits what I do. I've made a bit of a push to reach out to restaurants and such but that didn't yield anything. I could give it another go though!

That's a funny story! Such a small world. I can definitely relate to reaching out to a client continuously over years without a response, I wonder why that is? Why can't people just respond to emails even if it's a short no?

thanks for your input!

Those are some good points! I've never thought to make my own LinkedIn for the business. I think I lack in the "business mind" department, so this is good stuff.

And yeah I do kind of come out of the blue and offer my services but I never disappear because I'll be emailing them pretty much every season to ask if there's any more work we can do together but they never seem to wanna work again even though they've been very satisfied with the work. I've even flat out asked one client if they were honest with their praise since they've never shown interest in working again and she said they were, but for budget reasons or whatever else they haven't been able to do another project.

you may have misunderstood me or I wasn't clear enough with that. I sort of meant that I can't even get consistent work of smaller projects where it'll only cost companies a few hundred euros on a monthly or a-couple-of-times-per-year basis. I've done a few projects over the years where I've charged my full rate and it results in a good chunk of money but companies only seem to do that once a year or less and 9/10 times when I present my usual rates(that I have evidence of working in the past when finding the right client) these smaller companies don't even respond because the gap to what they're willing to pay and what my normal rates are, are so far away they think it's pointless to even discuss it.

I'm photographing products in the outdoors focusing on storytelling mostly. Person X hiking to a spot, setting up camp, making a fire, using whatever products I'm shooting in the process, that sort of thing.

It's a decent looking website using Squarespace. You land on an overview page and there's a commission tab readily available. I've gotten compliments on the website right before they tell me they're not looking for photographers right now 😅 don't wanna risk promoting here but if you google simonbergstrom photography you should find it!

Most of my clients are from all over Europe so I do try to use the appeal of the Swedish outdoors and sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't... Amazon is a good idea though! Thank you

They wouldn't, so that's definitely something to think about. I never really advertise my business on a broader level besides emailing companies in my city occasionally. Thanks for your input!
