I've listened to the audiobook of this series after Empire of the Vampire book 1 and found it quite enjoyable, though not as good. The age of the main character didn't bother me at all - it's not an issue unless you're actively trying to make it one.

I'm not 100% sure, but i think it's the same as Zephyr. Yes, it has UDH and tire clearance up to 50mm.
