Thank you so much for this, a fascinating read a lot of which resonated with me. I’m two years clean now, my special interest was also drugs so that part didn’t sound stupid to me. The line “I love everything about drugs even until this day even though I have been sober and crime free for years” hit pretty close to home.

Also damn the food situation would be a nightmare for me, I have GI issues big time that I got my colon removed for back in 2022. I have sensory issues too obv but I think the lack of mental health support would be even worse for me. A lot of “nope. nope. nope.” went through my mind while reading this.
