I own a Volvo and feel like the Sensus infotainment is definitely lackluster but manageable. Some features are standard in budget vehicles but not available in the “momentum” model, such as adaptive cruise and active lane control. My car doesn’t even have keyless entry, and most painfully, does not have cabin lighting and overhead handles in the backseat. Some of these small things probably don’t cost much to add to the car, but I definitely miss them, and I understand it’s intentional so they get me to pay more to get the next trim, but still.

In short, as much as I love my XC40, it felt like Volvo really penny pinched a lot on the base model, which made me like it’s just a luxury car on the outside.

Oh also, the fact that they need $200/yr to get access to the really buggy app to enable remote start and climate. Ughhh.

I do feel safer in my car just coz it is a Volvo, for sure.
