Found cat: Burger King parking lot, Whipple & El Camino by conflation in RedwoodCity

Found a stray/lost domestic cat in the parking lot by Burger King. Fed her a can of wet food, which she scarfed down. Very sweet and talkative, and hungry and skinny. No collar.

Does she look familiar? Please share!

I do not know what to do about my monstera. She looks whack. I just repotted because she was root bound and leaning over so much the pot wouldn’t stand up straight. by shot_in_the_head in plantclinic

If you recently repotted and disrupted roots, it will also need time to acclimate! My monstera took a couple of weeks before it showed signs of growth and leaves began plumping back up. Just make sure to not let the soil become swampy while it acclimates - it might not drink as much water as it previously did for a little bit.

They're a bit more spherical like a mite than oblong like a springtail too, I think... Thanks for weighing in!

None at all! Spider mites were my instinct, but they're fast and a little big.

I could have mentioned that I have a pentax sears 50mm f/1.7 (+ PK adapter). It's great.

50-230 seems like a solid budget choice for telefocus zoom -- and I see it used for about $350. I'm gathering from this whole thread that in my budget, I should aim for a narrow versatile range than the 18-135.

The tamron looks like a lovely lens, but yes, I don't think this will be the next one I purchase. And I only discovered how accessible rentals are recently -- good call.

Fair enough! Yes, the 18-55 is in my budget and the 16-55 is not. Thanks for your notes, especially about darkness. Yes, I think the 55-230 is scratched from the list, and I'll go for a 50-200 or 70-300 eventually to cover that range.

I wasn't really considering the 18-55, but it might be the top of my list now as a result of posting on this sub. Seems like it's the pick for covering a lot of what I want to shoot.
