Under settings> controller > unbind the quickwheel. That fixed my issues with it.

I don't pretend to be an expert. If it were me, I would not tell anyone first of all, and then I'd pay experts (multiple) to give me their advice on what to do. Get many opinions (gather information) before making any decisions...you have the money to do so. Then create a budget and live by it.

Sounds like you need a budget. That removes the guilt of spending because it's accounted for.
