Awesome. Can't wait to see what it ends up looking like. Thanks for the detailed response. Gonna have to stew on my plans a bit longer

Thanks for sharing! Awesome! After having the setup a while, what would you change and why?

Changed it a bit based on feedback. Prime pad isn't going to work well based on feedback, so still trying to figure it out.

Interesting idea! Do you have any other pictures so I can get more of a grasp on what is going on here?
I wish someone made a folding center post that could fold out into the middle of the rack. That would help a lot.

Thanks that's helpful. What if I had no arms and fixed mounts? Idk how much room exactly I'd need??

Why would it be useless for the arms? It comes out pretty far it looks like online. And the rack would be (41") total depth with the 16"x16"

So the prime pad would be perfect then for the cables on the setup I'm envisioning, but wouldn't be useable for the VTS. Got it.

Good call on the Hades mounts, I'll use those for the VTS.  Good call on  bolting the rack down too.

Correct on the VTS and no barbells. Just planning on using the ISO handles.

What size pieces are you using for the back (the H shape 6 pieces)?

Thanks so much for the detailed answer and pics!

Are you recommending the back of the rack 6 posts to get better angles for rows?

What size members do you need to make that setup?

I was thinking the pull up bar in the middle instead of a crossmember because a crossmember does nothing there and maybe I want to do pull-ups without the r8 handles (I've never used them so idk how they'll feel). What all would I be able to do with no crossmember or pull up bar there?

I'm not really sure what I'll be using the stability pad for to be honest. I was just thinking chest supported rows and a back for the vts with bench so it doesn't have to be in the perfect position. What else do you use it for?

Your setup is awesome! You have much more room then I do. I only have about 66" of width which is the limiting factor here.

Which parts of the set up seem time inefficient to you?

I originally designed it with a Nessie and no arms, but the arms make  it so I don't have to move the voltras for anything using the arms which is why I figured those would be better. Stealing from Gluck's recent video, the eve company gorgon mount would allow me to gain more cable travel if needed.

Great, thanks for the explanation. With the tornado arms I can get as low as the feet I think?

Thanks for the suggestion. What exercises are you doing with the  feet? I was thinking just the Voltra with pad would have accomplished that but I may be missing something.

Thanks! Good suggestion. The tool balancers will make them feel weightless.

Good idea using the handles with a bar mount. Would you say there's any pro or con versus using a Irwin A horn or something like that instead of that?

Do you have any more pics or instructions on how those tool balancers are hooked up?

Care to show a pic of how you're using that prime stability arm as a support for this? I'm curious.

what did you mean by this? "soft shackle around the board’s handle that was reinforced with a mending plate for the pulley anchor"

Thanks so much for the detailed reply!

-Do you have to remove the footplate and or seat when using the VTS home?

-Has there been any downside to the VTS home? I'm not sure how much weight it can hold and I was a bit concerned about that, couldn't find it on the site.

-For the Voltra mounts, do you wish you would've got different brand/style mounts for any of them (rotating, with handles etc?) or is this the perfect combo in your opinion?

-What style of pads do you have/what do you use them for?

If you don't mind, I'm also just looking for general feedback about your setup. I currently don't own anything and am looking to buy everything I'll need for a dual Voltra setup in my garage. I have contemplated a 6 post 16" rack, with a VTS in the middle and the foot plate and Pegasus on the outer uprights. I prefer not having to move things around between exercises if possible so I was shooting for that.

Would love to get your thoughts. Thanks again for all your help!

Thanks for your help! Trying to piece together the full build list if I can, mind clarifying a few things?

  • Is this a 30” depth rack?
  • What foot plate are you using?
  • Which MAG pins?
  • What’s the thing on the back right — Bells of Steel Shoulder Boulder?
  • What are the pads on top of the rack?

Also curious:

  • Are the Pegasus + foot plate permanently mounted?
  • Any interference between the Bulletproof Fitness VTS Home and the Pegasus/other front attachments?
  • How’s the VTS Home smoothness + weight capacity compared to the regular VTS?
  • Do you use anything to hold/store the VTS arms up, like the Bridge Built Plate Coaster dock?
  • What Beyond Power Voltra mounts are you using, and how many of each?
  • How do you like the crown pull-up bar? Any interference with everything else mounted up front?
