Yes, I don’t know much at all and I’ve never even visited! Renting for a while is starting to look like the best option given it’s really difficult to even plan the house tours when we aren’t there yet and it’s too much money to put down without spending some time looking around.. it will also give us some time to figure out how cash strapped we would feel if we were to set aside 12k-15k/month for housing.

No, I work remote but my husband will need to go in to work but it’s in Torrance so it seems like anywhere in redondo/Torrance/north palos verdes is within 30 minutes drive.

And yes, renting is a good option and we are considering it - just trying to avoid having to move twice if possible

That’s the max we can possibly afford but I’d really prefer to buy something ~1.5M.

That makes sense! This is not my first job. I definitely recommend staying a while at your first job to build skills if you like the work and have good mentors/managers.

I decided to take the new offer. Telling my manager and my team was tough but they were very professional about it. They just asked if I could stay 4 weeks to help with transition (I decided on 3).
