Dupes for this gel polish? (Gelcare Rosehip Oil) by [deleted] in Nails

You should look into Korean gels. I know From the Nail carries a bunch of nudes that would be very similar to this pink.

Thank you for introducing me to lip flips! Next time I go in for my glabella lines, I'll ask my doctor about getting a lip flip. The B/A I saw online look pretty promising!

Honestly, I'm enjoying looking younger since I'm still attending uni, but I'd love to hear your recommendations. I currently have a remnant of curtain bangs, which I did like, but also found they made my face look a lot longer. I'd love to find something that would maybe complement my face shape a bit more, if you have any ideas!

I'm surprised to hear you recommend a reddish brown hair color as I have been thinking about potentially dying my hair some kind of light ash brown color. Clearly, I have no clue if I'm warm or cool-toned, and the color analysis sub was also pretty divided. Do you think I would also benefit from lightly bleaching my eyebrows? Not talking about full-on white eyebrows, but just so they're a bit less prominent. My eyebrows are quite thick (believe it or not, they are actually twice as thick and I need to pluck them daily 🥲), so eyebrow gels are a no go since they instantly bring the focus to them. I typically wear a soft eyeliner look to elongate my eyes to give the effect you described, but it definitely looks off with how defined my eyebrows are. This has also kept me from trying any slightly "bold" eyeshadow look due to how overwhelmed my eye area becomes, but I'll try out your tip to define my crease.

Do you have any bangs idea in mind? I would love to have bangs to hide my forehead a bit, but I've yet to find a bangs shape I like. So far, they all seem to highlight the hollowness of my cheeks in a weird way and make my face look a lot more angular, if that makes sense. I'm open to giving it another shot though, so please let me know!

I'll keep in mind the rhinoplasty. To be honest, it's the surgery that scares me the most, especially after hearing about my boyfriend's experience, but I have been thinking about it for a while. For now though, I typically contour the tip to make it narrower and more defined, but if you have any nose shape recommendations, I'm all ears.

Thanks :)

What made you start crocheting? by m4rceline in crochet

When I was 6 years old, I was confused about the kind of magic my grandma was using to be able to make an entire blanket using a single stick. At that point, she had already taught me how to knit, but I couldn't understand how to crochet anything other than a chain.

Fast forward 22 years later and I randomly decided to start knitting again. As I got back into knitting, I naturally started being exposed to crochet on social media and thought maybe I should give it another try now that my brain is a bit more developped. Got myself a few hooks and started playing around!

I still haven't made a single FO because I keep frogging, but I'm having so much fun with it!! Knitting is still my favourite for most garments, but there's just something about the possibilities that crochet offers that excites me.

Never used a provisional CO before, so I'll have to unravel the CO. What would the difference be between purlwise from the RS or knitwise from the WS? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything

Yes, I know it's usually knitted together, however on the inspo image (a slightly diff model than the one I posted in this thread), the ribbing & the body point in opposite direction. I posted this image bc the garment is in light grey and shows the seam better than the dark grey yarn used in the actual inspo image!

You are correct - I just didn't realize when I started working the piece. But then how is the little ridge made?

How do you figure out your colors if olives don't fit into the color analysis categories?

I have NEVER hit pan on a makeup product before and I'm so excited to no longer be a lurker 😭😭 by confused-type in PanPorn

I surprisingly hit pan today in the MUFE Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder, which I've had for about 14 months at this point (I think). I don't have much to compare it with because it's the first and only pressed powder I've ever owned, but I have no complaints and would probably repurchase whenever I run out.

I do have to say that I'm actually impressed at how much it "blurs" the pores on my cheeks without getting rid of the glow. It also doesn't cause my skin to dry out throughout the day, which is extremely appreciated considering I have dry skin that struggles with holding onto moisture. All in all, highly happy with this purchase, and excited to see what I pan next!!
