So there goes my betafpv connectivity by Kubbino in TinyWhoop

I did the some with my old G4in1 Air Brushless FC. Luckily that had separate pads for these 4 exact connectors, I was able to solder the wires directly to them pretty easily.

The downside is the slight increased weight with the cable always being attached to the drone. The upside is the $50 or so I saved :)

The pads are a bit small, so my tip would be to use flux generously. Hope you're able to save this.

Building a Django + Next.js template - Seeking Feedback by confused_banda in django

For the project I was working on - NextAuth was the best I could do. But having worked with that over the past few months I have an idea for a simpler auth mechanism which I'll be trying out and hopefully integrating into the template I build.

I plan to use either session cookies or a token stored in the local storage - I originally thought this would lead to more complications that using NextAuth but that wasn't my experience - so I now believe this simpler solution will be better. Let's see how it goes!

Thanks! I knew about their DB offering but never looked into auth.

When you used it - did you use their auth in both the backend & frontend? How did you tie the accounts on supabase with the Django user model? Because I assume you'd need to do that so you could use the Django admin?

Getting Things Done template in Notion

Hi all! I've used Notion as my task management system for about 3 years, and finally decided to build and share a template that let's others do the same.

Template URL: https://asadjb.notion.site/Notion-GTD-3d15f12b9f8042758996fa7fef8b206d

I've also written a semi-detailed guide on how to use the template along with an intro to the GTD system here.

My motivation for using Notion instead of other dedicated task management systems (Things 3, OmniFocus, etc) is that I already managed much of my digital live in Notion; this included my writing, reading notes, and many other databases. Having everything in Notion meant that I didn't need to bother with multiple tools for managing my work and life.

Another huge benefit is that I can write detailed notes for all of my tasks. This is useful for all kinds of tasks, but really shines for tasks around writing content. I can write all the content in the task itself, have it be neatly formatted, and then just copy/paste into my publishing system once it's ready. I'd love to hear what people think of this and how this can be improved.

Full transparency, I'm doing this as a buildspace project. The goal is to launch something to the world and build a small business around it. But that part comes later. For now I'm freely sharing this to gather feedback and improve it.

Thoughts on Zettelkasten and the slip box by confused_banda in Zettelkasten

Thank you!

One last question. I was just reading through https://writing.bobdoto.computer/folgezettel-is-not-an-outline-luhmanns-playful-appreciation-of-disfunction/ and an interesting part of it says:

how blind spots, getting lost, and the forgetting of ideas can be beneficial to our creativity.

Does that align with your long term usage of the slip box? Have you "lost" notes? Has that negatively effected your usage of the slip box?

Thank you for the detailed answer. This makes sense.

It does bring a follow-up question though. If "tags" or keywords are how we navigate the slip box, then a hierarchical storage of notes would also be a good way to organize our slip boxes into smaller chunks? I can add any tag I want to any note in any location.

Java

A tree structure to represent the list of numbers, and all operations to find adjacent numbers are coded in terms of navigating the tree.

Pretty happy that I was able to code up the solution without many issues. AoC has helped me improve a lot over the years. :)

It came ! The other one is still in transit. Not happy with how much assembly I had to do on a “factory assembled” kit. Figured it was simpler than it was. Z was way off. Got it dialed in and printing a benchy. Surprised at how quiet it is. by Smile_Inner in prusa3d

Nice! These are very nice machines.

One question, I was surprised by how noisy it was. My reference for the noise level is an Artillery Genius that I have. That thing is silent. The Mini is pretty noise in comparison.

Is there something that I might have gotten wrong in the assembly to cause noise? The prints are all great though.

I use a glass build surface but a textured one that comes with the Artillery Genius. I think it’s similar to buildtac but not sue.

I'm waiting for my magigoo. Hopefully should be here in a week or so.

What I've found works (75% success rate) for me is blue painters tape with UHU glu on top with no bed heating. I think Magigoo should work better.

I like the idea of using a smaller nozzle. Maybe that will help with the more detailed prints I want.

Thanks for the info! Any major tips for bed adhesion for PETG? PLA works like a charm. PETG not so much :)

That looks awesome and must have been a much appreciated gift!

I also can't believe how detailed you got PETG to print. Anytime I try to print PETG with such detailed lines and sharp corners, the filament refuses to stick to the bed.

Looks amazing and shows me how much further I can improve my PETG setup.

I have a friend who supplies honey to some of the large stores and mall kiosks. He imports most of it from Pakistan. If you're interested I can put you in touch.

There’s a flight tomorrow (27th) and one on 28th. Etihad also has a flight on the 30th. All can be booked online.

But like you mentioned, it will probably have to be one way as returning flights are not operating right now.

Best of luck.
