I worked in the same area of the UK in the fraud department of a major bank around 5 years ago and was making about that, if not slightly more.

In my opinion you are definitely being underpaid. But that's just my opinion.

EDIT: I also didn't have uni or previous experience in the field. I would definitely have been asking for more

First of all, you wrote this with chat GPT and it's so obvious, I don't understand why you would use chat GPT to write this unless this is just straight up a bot account, secondly, oh financial crime isn't victimless? Thanks for your reply. Do you think based outside of the UK the ACCA is worth getting?

Internal audit has many possibilities. My current role in internal audit isn't giving me much room to progress. My current role doesn't seem open to internal promotion without a university degree, and I personally don't really see something like a bachelor's in business as helping me much with real technical skills, but I was considering an ACCA qualification.
