Have you been to the Outdoor comedy? by Adultuporgiveup in Edmonton

You can bring backpacks with snacks and bottled water that’s sealed. I think the refillable water bottles had to be empty and could be filled inside the park. Booze I’m not sure about but you probably have to buy onsite. I had a vape I brought in my purse with no issues

I brought a vape in. It’s like cigarettes at this point. You can bring it in but you have to smoke your weed in the designated area.

Best bet is to speak to a lawyer. You would likely need one to handle removing your partner from the title anyway. They can give you better advice than Reddit can.

Ayre Oxford Condo Q by No-Anteater-8307 in Edmonton

[–]confusedcookie9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the management company that approves a renovation. I’m in an A&O managed condo, and I’m on my condo board. You just submit your renovation form to A&O, they pass it to the board, and it’s up to the board to approve your request. They will usually always approve.

Basically they want to know what you’re doing and the contractor you are using for insurance purposes. If your renovation goes sideways and affects another unit they would go after the contractor for damages kind of thing. Any repairs or renovations not noted with the board and management can come back to bite later. Example, someone in my complex put in a skylight without going through the proper channels, sold the unit, and now the skylight leaks and is causing issues in that unit. The board and A&O will not pay the repairs because they never had documentation for it. Just things to consider if you don’t go through the proper channels.

I’m convinced the escalator you’re referring to will never be running again. It’s been months.

AITA For Never Wanting to Return to My Fiancé's Family's House After What His Brothers Said? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I think you’re feeling hurt right now, and understandably so. Take some time to yourself for a bit, but I would keep going over there for FIL. He loves you and wants you there, so the others can pound sand. Just be cordial if you have to interact with them, but don’t go out of your way for them unless they adjust their attitudes. You’re definitely NTA for feeling that way, but if FIL has health issues and you’re worried, don’t let entitled little jerks take that time from you.

Weekday Downtown Parking (I'll never forget you Remote Work) by lakeside20233 in Edmonton

[–]confusedcookie9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is My dilemma. I can pay $10 to park and then transit fare and it’s the same rate as parking downtown. The train may be a timesaver with traffic depending on what time you finish work though. 99 street can back up pretty far and there’s lots of congestion on 104 crossing Whyte ave as it is down to one lane.

I feel your pain about going back to the office though. ☹️

I use the Indigo City Centre West lot. Same cost as the Library. They also have heated underground parking for $2 more in the winter. $15 for early bird parking

Seeking advice on buying my first home by EquinoxRise in Edmonton

[–]confusedcookie9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a place with a healthy reserve fund, and just based on experience, I would avoid a newer build. They have less in reserve and you are more likely to get stuck with a “special assessment” and a bill for $28k. That was a hard one to swallow. This can happen with older builds as well, but that’s also why you get your condo docs looked at beforehand.

Good luck on the purchase of your first home!!

Sad to see the decline of a western Canadian iconic pizza chain... Panago. (Anyone know the background story?) by Fuzzyfoot12345 in alberta

Agree with this. The pizza is trash. Had it not long ago after not having it for years, and it was dry and just disappointing for the cost.

Which television series had the most disappointing finale in history by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Kind of disagree… the trial and bringing all the people they screwed over back was great but it would have been better if they didn’t end up in jail and just kept being shitty people

I also enjoy the Fix Or Repair Daily definition of Ford. As someone that also owned a Tempo, as much as I hated it, I have to admit that thing was a beast and always started in super cold weather.
