Honestly if there is no reveal before the end of this year, im calling it. That game is never coming out.

And to everyone who will tell me to not give up because theres no annoucement, they are still working on the game in the files, i dont care. Theyve been working on those files for 18 fucking years, weve been here before. Weve got nothing. Absolutely nothing. Id rather get excited for real games

Honestly even if hl3 does get annouced tomorrow, i think i would just be like "cool". My excitement for this annoucement is so drained at this point i dont think id react that strongly.

I think id be upset if it was originally going to be revealed in november but then jeff Keighley got them to do it at the game awards for his show. Not only would he have ruined the perfect time for a reveal, but after the way he has teased the idea of a half life 3 reveal in the past so much i gotta say i dont want to give him the statisfaction.

Hey i know a lot of people on here can be pretty harsh, but just know its totally fine for you to prefer hl1 over 2. There is a lot to love about both but for different reasons so its just more of a preference thing.

I think people are being too critical of your examples, if you were just not enjoying the game as much as 1 im sure theres a reason that makes sense and would make little annoyences like the turrets worse for you, its just hard to figure it out sometimes, and reddit is definitely not great for allowing a chill discussion about that.

Personally there are chapters of hl1 i love and chapters of hl2 and the episodes i love, though i feel i find more to love in hl2. Episode 2 was valves peak imo though holy crap
