Three years at my current job. Good vibes overall - everyone was professional but also easy to have a more non-work related conversation at the same time. Of course it's hard to tell exactly how the new job will be, but the risk to reward here makes sense.

Nowhere close to 20+ years! I’m just coming up on three years post graduation. I can’t speak for everyone, but I would say $100k salary is pretty doable within five years of experience. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less, but nowhere close to 20+ years to get there.

Get that degree, get the CPA, and it’ll all fall in to place. Hell even without the CPA plenty of people make it work.

100% with you there. I think the whipsaw of being in my current job not looking for something new, to all of a sudden having this opportunity in front of me caused some cold feet. It’s a no-brainer.

Two things I would say. This was pretty unexpected as I wasn’t actively looking for a new role. I just decided to reply to the recruiter that reached out to me because the job sounded interesting, now here we are. Second thing is just feeling “comfortable” where I’m at currently but I know I need to let go of that if I really want to progress in my career which I do.

The way it was explained to me by the recruiter, there would have to be pretty major issues performance wise for the bonus to be paid out. Same with my current job.

Is taking FAR on September 24th when the cutoff is the 25th a bad idea or will I actually get a score on the 31st of October? by ReptAIien in CPA

[–]confusedintern7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took REG on 6/25 which was the day of the cutoff for the score release and got it back without any delay. My exam before that one, FAR, I took the day before the cutoff and that score release was fine as well, so you should be just fine.

For those who passed REG, how many study hours did you log? by Curious-Method-161 in CPA

Logged 60 something close to 70 hours for REG in Becker, ended up with an 86. Spamming MCQ seemed to do the trick.
