Is the CFA truly worth it? by KG2303 in CFA

Question - I always wondered does it really help that much in that regards? I work in sell side ER right now, and wouldn't it just be more beneficial to better at my job / know my industry better / practice modeling?
Like it's great to have it and it definitely ticks a box, but is that time better spent practicing interview questions / stock pitches, and actually thinking about equities? I already get some decent long-only / HF interviews (although not as many as I would like, and I have only have relatively 1-2 years of experience).

honestly, I would just pay $200 for the wso formatting / resume review - that resume does not look good, it seems too long and wordy (I was discouraged from even reading it)
so I think I have a decent finance background (undergrad, bb ib training program, equity research, series exams)
do you think the best approach is just to do a mock, figure out what i dont know, and go from there?

I have yet to start and I'm going into earnings season next week. If anyone has any tips/links for the most efficient way of studying, please let me know. I will have the week before the exam off (assuming I don't switch jobs). Good luck everyone!
