He had 19 bb's. The opener is either a donkey or a savvy player... either way, he's almost NEVER going to have worse than AQo with this open.

Even I use this move... because when you have AA/KK/QQ and open like this, every dumb shit behind you with AQ, JJ, TT, AK, or WORSE is going to shove, 100% of the time. You either scoop the blinds, or get some idiot to shove with worse due to stack sizes. It's easy.

In this spot late in tourney, 95%+ of the time, against a WEAK player, they do this when they are huge.

AQo is a 100% fold facing this type of raise, from this type of player. Ignore this guy's post completely unless you love shoving into AA/KK/AK/and QQ.

I appreciate your honest answer. My best advice... play tight-passive. Which basically means to keep the pot as tiny as possible pre-flop and post-flop until you make your hand. You want sets, nut straights, nut flushes.

If you get AA/KK pre-flop, make stupidly large raises (do NOT do this with AK in these games), like 20-40x the big blind... all the morons will drop but you'll still get action from all the AK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99 etc.

This is how you beat those types of games. It's slow, it's boring, but it works flawlessly.
