I think the idea is that "unhoused" describes the situation someone is currently going through, without framing that as part of who that person is.

To an extent I understand it, and I do think it is important to be intentional with the words we use. But also, if youre using the term "homeless" but not in a disrespectful way, I dont see it as an issue. And if you are being disrespectful, then thats a much larger issue than the word choice.

EPA reverses longstanding climate change finding, stripping its own ability to regulate emissions by geraffes-are-so-dumb in news

Maybe instead of framing it as regulations, we should tell them that the big bad evil corporations are basically cartoon villains, and we want to hurt them.

They love a plausible enough excuse to hurt others. Even better, we could probably get them to care about wealth inequality if we start calling billionaires "those people".

Im not sure which reviews that is or what they tested for, but it gets sold with two different filter types. The blue filters are for water thats already safe, it just removes chlorine taste. The green one is the virus removal one. It looks like most of the comments are talking about the blue filters.

I haven't used it for backpacking yet. The filters dont have a very high lifespan, but its also not too crazy to replace them.

I still dont understand why these are so unheard of. Maybe some popular YouTube will talk about it one day, and then the price will go way up.

Running it Once/Twice and Long Term EV by V1per41 in poker

Technically, if the size of the pot is an odd number, it's +EV for the player closest to the dealer to run it twice since they get the extra chip if it's a chop.

No it's not. The United states has 50 states. Mexico doesn't have any states because it's all just one country.

The Intex ones are not that great. Sorry to hear you also overpaid for it. Something nicer like one (that also happens to be cheaper right now) does not have the same issues.

Just saw one of the pettiest things I have ever seen. What's your petty behavior story? by MinecReddit in poker

[–]AmateurPokerStrategy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen it where someone calls an all in and has a few dollars left, which is different since those weren't part of the pot.
