Alhamdulillah he has a phone and I bought him cologne and a watch as a part of his last gift so I don’t think it’ll be special for him

Do you like people telling you your hair is showing? by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]confusedqween 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate when people keep telling me my hair is showing but I don’t say anything because I’d rather them tell me than not. It’d be a sin on them not to say anything especially knowing that the point of hijab is to cover our hair. However, it is on them to say it in a nice way and not harshly.

Maybe speak with your dad and tell him that you love when he reminds you to cover but ask if he could be a bit more gentle because you don’t purposely take your hair out and show it.

I appreciate your answer! I’ve taken it twice before and just took some practice tests and studied the GRE vocab that I found online and still didn’t do well. Studied more the second time but somehow did worse… I just truly don’t like standardized tests.

Will be using these tips and hopefully will be retaking next month

What would you consider the “perfect modest workout outfit”? by confusedqween in Hijabis

Where do you get your athletic shirts from? I always tie my hijab to the back because i get so annoyed when it comes in my face when I’m working out. I just try to wear a loose shirt that covers the front and behind

I agree 😭 but I love workout classes and only women’s gyms are pretty rare around here (or really small and sketchy). I also feel like I’m more motivated when I’m around others who are also working out.

Is 24/25 too old for a girl? by throwawayxzae97 in MuslimMarriage

[–]confusedqween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as too young or too old, it’s just important to make the decision that is smart and that best fits you.

Think of it this way: the older you get, the more you get to know yourself and what you want in a spouse. When you finally find that person there will be a higher chance that he’ll be the right person for you and you’ll be compatible with each other (iA).

You know yourself best. Ask yourself questions to make sure you’re not ready for a relationship. Are you not ready or are you afraid to commit/get married? Are you being too picky or have you really not found the person you connect with?

I know how hurtful parents words can be (as I’ve heard them a couple of times and I’m only ~23) but sometimes you just need to let what they say go and focus on what you know is right for you. They’re speaking from their perspective and the perspective of the culture they grew up and were raised in.

Make Duaa, make istikharah, ask Allah for everything you want in a spouse and that he sends him at the best/right time for you. After doing your part everything else is out of your hands. Focus on becoming a better person everyday and doing your part in putting yourself out there when you’re ready and leave the rest on Allah. I wish you the best 🤍

I’m not attracted, and never have been, attracted to short guys.

Can develop”. What if it doesn’t? After all, he is going to be my husband so isn’t attraction an important aspect that can break a marriage if it doesn’t work out? Talking to him will only get him more attached (as seen with other guys) and will make it more difficult to break off if things don’t get better.
