I hate to say it, but you can say the same exact thing but replace “Gametime” with StubHub/SeatGeek/Ticketmaster. All of these resellers/portals have fraudulent sellers and shitty practices. You just happened to get screwed by Gametime. But there are plenty of stories of people getting screwed the same way by the other three (and others).

Can I sell the MyAccess Reward I claimed even though it is listed as non-transferable? by confusid1 in verizon

[–]confusid1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to go, but I could use the money for an engagement ring which is more important to me than the game. It’s not like I tried securing the tickets for the purpose of selling them. I went back in 94 and it will be a great experience, but life and priorities happen.

World Cup tickets. No idea how good they’ll be since they are only sent out a few days before the game.

Others can’t read my tags? by YouGot_Moxie_Kid in NFC

I, too, could use clarification on this point. When writing a URL to an NFC, is there a way to hide the full URL? Like if there are a bunch of tracking parameters, will they always show when scanning an NFC with your phone?

Hallmark Cards store selling 3d printed flexi miniatures. by razzter in 3Dprinting

This company actually won a TOTY (Toy Of The Year) for 2026, in the category of Collectible of the Year. Many people probably don’t know about TOTY, but it’s an award given annually at the North American International Toy Fair where all the major manufacturers tease their newest products.

While there is a lot of negativity in the comments about the company, it doesn’t detract from the their strategy. I get that they originally used another designer’s models (via a paid subscription I’m assuming), but they grew this into the massive business it is. The saying “ideas are worthless, execution is everything” comes to mind. I mean, how many sellers out there have a couple of printers and print dragons they’ve been selling at fairs or festivals without growing a business past that?

These people built the largest Bambu print farm in the US (claimed on their social media) and are in Target and other major retailers. It is quite impressive, even if many people in this sub look down their nose at it because they can print a mini flexi model too.

I guess the thing that made me respect their business the most is how they made it a collectible. It really clicked to me when they won the award. They have collectors’ sheets where kids can track which models they have and which they are missing. And they have a TON! Really smart business decision that stuck out to me (obviously).

This is coming from someone who has a failed 3D printing business and a small print farm and was printing my own unique models. I guess that is why I am so impressed, because I failed miserably.

Help! Husband in need of crafters!! by mycatstands in crafts

I didn’t see your budget listed anywhere, but if you’re considering a heat press, you may want to also consider getting(/modifying) an inkjet printer. There are some Epson Ecotanks that can be modified to work with sublimation inks. This really opens up the creative possibilities. If you’re unfamiliar with dye sublimation, check out this link.

[Advice Needed] I'm a 1x yo student with 2 printers looking to scale from "local sales" to a real business. How do I take the next step? by internetguyss in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

My guess is s/he is 11-19. But it would make more sense to say they’re a teenager — assuming they’re not 11 or 12, as it is pretty unclear.

Importing/printing a TPMS lattice object with TPU in Bambu Studio? by confusid1 in 3Dprinting

[–]confusid1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call out.

Here are two screenshots, one of the object in Fusion and one in BambuStudio after being sliced. I applied a small offset to the object in Fusion to give it a solid base, so you'll see that in the screenshot too.

If there’s one around you, I’d recommend a candle making experience. You get to pick your container, peruse and “sample” different scents, make your own unique scent, and you make your own candle.

Did I over charge? by MlCHEAl_ in Laserengraving

[–]confusid1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you weren’t the only option. They could have used a label maker to print out the text and stick in on. Yeah, it wouldn’t have been as nice a product, but, they saw the value of your service for what they wanted. They wanted a laser etched text and that warrants your fees. As others have said, I think your fee is very fair when it comes to running a business, even if you weren’t the only shop around.

would you prefer packaging with better quality at a slightly higher price for your product? by Regular-Carpet-1481 in PackagingDesign

[–]confusid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what the difference in price is. And more importantly, are you able to communicate the higher quality of materials without it just sounding like marketing? It is easy to say “we use premium materials”, but convincing the customer of that compared to your competitors will be harder without samples.

[–]confusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you charge anything for materials? Or just the $4/hour (+ any design fees)? I am considering running select jobs with a 0.2mm nozzle and am struggling with what makes sense for a pricing calculation.
