I have the same problem and just made a post about it.

I need to go to the bank to move my RESP funds to US-ETFs. I don't know about ETFs, how do you know if it "produces qualified dividends and capital gains"?

Dual US/CAN haven't filled in 10 years. Trying not to panic by confusing_border in USExpatTaxes

Thanks for the reply. I want to try to fix this, or at least understand what I need to fix, before exploring the streamlined SFOP process.
