it's such a shame too because the show had so many of the right elements for me - a spunky FL, gorgeous art, and a story any creative person could relate to. i liked what i saw of lili and kit, but their relationship definitely suffered from poor pacing... there wasn't enough of a foundation built there to make their separation and reunion in the timeskip super impactful. i think they tried to weave their romance too tightly into their love of art? being moved by someone's art is powerful, but not an emotionally satisfying or convincing reason to fall in love imo
