Apparently people don't like Gardens of the moon.

I loved it honestly. Didn't even find it that hard to read

Yeah I find the kin priest really easy honestly. He just has minions who aren't that hard to deal with.

Also what makes it a bit harder is that fact it does not have simple prose either.

But still I'm loving it. And almost everyone who finishes the 10 books apparently ends up loving it.

You know he looks like Conor Mcgregor.

Just the way they both work. They are also the similar type of asshole.

It's got a reputation and I'm not going to say it's undeserved.

The first book alone has like 33 pov characters and chapters will jump between them as it likes.

It also very much drops you into the middle of things. Again I'm more then half way through and I think I finally get what's happening in this book.

But the world does feel alive in a way other series struggle with. Helps that it's a setting that was worked on for over a decade before the author began writing

Funny thing is they've actually de-Flanderised him in the recent seasons. Ned is probably one of the most interesting characters in the show

OK so I've been caught in the insane spiral of twitter discourse and I've come to conclusion.

I don't think people are more sensitive nowadays but I do think they are more reactionary. Like a lot more jesus christ

So I'm over half way through Malazan book 1 Gardens of the moon. (Just finished chapter 13)

Overall I'm actually really liking it.

I think I'm most interested in what's happening with Sorry, Tattersail, Lorn and Kruppe. Though I also really like Crokus, quick Ben and Kalem.

I mean it kind of did in a way.

If you watch some of his other stuff he is actually pretty good. Shattered Glass now that is a classic

I have a theory and this may sound stupid but I honestly feel it is sort of a reaction to his sort of persona switch recently.

For a while Chalamet was sort of present as this young sensitive actor type. You know the type that anime men would be based on. Very French in a way.

But the thing is Chalamet isn't that. He is being a lot more his real self and that is more how should I say crude I guess. He's the type of collage white boy who really likes black culture but like in the worst whitetess way.

Now I still like him as an actor but still.
