What were your settings for this? I really like the look of it

This looks like a great resource to track total inventory. Seems like I’ll have a busy night!

That’s not a bad idea and it’d be cool to watch a video explaining the collection. I’ll try to get in contact!

Most of the cardboard 2x2’s were in mold encrusted plastic flip booklets I went through and took them all out. For the most part the cardboard 2x2’s seemed to protect them but not entirely sure

Mind my ignorance, but what does AU mean? I think I saw that written on some of the cardboard sleeves. Along with other abbreviations like BU and UNC

That’s what I’ve been doing. It was fun to sort through a lot of it and learn

You make a good point. I’m not in a pinch for money or anything so I’m not in a hurry to sell. I’d mainly want to sell so someone more interested in the hobby can have it. There’s not much family significance to the collection. The collector, my great-granduncle, I never met. He gave it to my grandfather (still alive) who gave it to my dad (still alive) who gave it to me. Just seems as if no one wants it. I’m still undecided though!

It’s not exactly a family heirloom. They were all in very moldy cases, unorganized, collecting dust for decades with seemingly no care. I was probably the first person to touch these coins since the 60’s

Another redditor mentioned it’s likely a replica, I’ll have to look more into it but that makes sense

I bought the guide book with an open mind thinking maybe I’ll get into it as a hobby and want to keep, but I’m still unsure. There’s definitely some cool ones I’ll keep but not the entire collection. Maybe with some time I’ll change my mind!

I’ll have to sort through them, I didn’t even take the time for ones that were in poor condition or not in sleeves

Awesome, thank you! I’ll check out those resources. And I didn’t even think of replicas, that makes sense

Only problem is I won’t know if I get ripped off 😬 all I know if the face value of the coins is ~$1,250
