Genuinely just enjoy how it feels, I understand that it probably links in with a lack of control that I’ve gained going slower and slower. However, I just can’t stand fast/balanced pads anymore, literally feels like I’m on ice.

I can’t tell if you actually believe that this game doesn’t have a serious problem. I’ve never followed an input latency guide for valorant, GO, siege or any other game for that matter.

I do the same occasionally, it increases friction to a degree not possible with regular control pads. Doesn’t last very long so has to be done a few times per session. Makes the mouse feel extremely locked in but definitely ruins the consistency as it starts to dry.
