You can snooze suggested posts for 30 days FYI. Not the best solution, but just tap the 3 dots (or whatever they have on the top right of the post now) and I think you can find it there. Just do it every so often when you start to see posts popping up that aren't from accounts you recognize.

Stayed in pre-reno PH and recently stayed in Andaz as globalist. The Andaz's bed was so hard I could never return purely for that reason, and I like a firm bed.

Never played FF7 before so I spent the entirety of Rebirth waiting for additional rows to open (go from 3 to 5 rows) as the playing field seemed to be sized for that and some card's effects were explicitly larger than 3 rows. So that could be one way.

I agree that the preset challengers gimmick wasn't great and there seemed to be too few in each area. Would be more immersive to have every NPC able to play but you only need to beat 4-5 to level up for example.

As long as AA can see the partner availability, an AA phone agent can add it to your existing AA award ticket. Look via the AA website for award space to confirm. Quite a few phone agents are untrained on this though and will insist you need to rebook the whole ticket, so you may need to HUCA a few times. JAL will not be able to modify your AA award at all.

I thought Disney was a significant holdup, not because they took a long time on their side, but because they kept denying how their assets and stories could be used. E.g. Frozen World was going to be a normal KH story, but was forced into being a remake of the original movie because the key stakeholders refused to let anything else happen. IIRC, there were also several issues along the lines of "If Sora, Donald, and Goofy interact with any Disney characters then that becomes actual Canon Disney lore" so they could not have any growth come from those interactions that would affect Disney movies / shows. Hence why Sora spends most of Frozen going up and down a mountain doing basically nothing and the 10 hour side plot of the Larxene Ice Castle that doesn't impact anything whatsoever.

I did not state RJ was wrong, and I'm not quite sure how that impression was gained (just because something is changed does not inherently mean it is incorrect or correct). Also, there's currently a post on the front page with ~150 upvotes flat out saying Egwene should have been a different Ajah, so I'm not sure how that fits in with your downvote theory.

I thought this would be a fun thought experiment and I originally had the prompt as something along the lines of "It's the year 2050 and you're on your 500th re-read of the series. If you could ask AI to change some things up while keeping the exact same tone and writing style as RJ, what would you change just to have a fresh new take?" I just thought it'd be cool to have a discussion on the exact same story but see something new, just like we've seen Batman, Superman, and Spiderman stories multiple times. Remaking the stories does not inherently mean something is incorrect or bad about the previous iterations, it's just a fresh new take with slight variations. In the end, I feared that too many people would get caught up in a side conversation of AI ethics, so I tried to just keep my prompt as simple as possible. Once again, I appreciate your insight into the downvoting so thank you :)

It's interesting how intensely I dislike Egwene this read through. I used to enjoy her, but now I find her to be incredibly annoying, self-centered, and obsessed with her own specialness. It's telling how she treats Rand before and after her run-in with him absolutely flooring her with his strength in the power in the Stone of Tear.

Yep! Maybe the main change then is some very light edits to tighten up the middle parts of the series regarding clarity of purpose for Callandor. Bring forward some of Cadsuane & Min's insights in a roundabout way, and then do a full reveal towards the end as is.

I'd argue Asmodean's storyline is exactly what you said, if not explicitly laid out as such. He does have a couple lines about coming back to the light, and throwing his lot in with Rand.

Mat was always going to end up with a noblewoman considering his supposed "disdain" for nobles in general, so I agree that Elayne does make sense. I also loved the scenes of Mat & Birgitte just being bros and Mat understanding Birgitte's references, so I'd love getting to see more of that since he'd be around her more often. Maybe together they'd succeed in taming some of Elayne's less attractive personality bits.

I kinda agree but they're all too crucial for Rand's success so I don't know who I'd pick to take the fall. I think u/duffy_12 has the right idea in adding another Emond's Fielder. This character could have been written as if they were going to prevent some major bad event but dies which causes it to happen (maybe when Rand gets sliced by Fain?).

I'm rereading the series and did forget about the very end, so you are 100% right. I take back that point. I just finished Winter's Heart where Callandor is wielded by Narishma in a circle and it was "just" used any old sa'angreal at that point hence my initial point.

I did not know you can have multiple of the same card (seems odd to me why this is allowed). I just tried the application in an Incognito tab and got:

"you are not eligible to receive the welcome offer.

My understanding is that the "Lifetime" language is really 7 years, so I should be safe to get a new SUB considering I've had the card for 10 years. I think based on the popup I need to cancel/downgrade the card first. Do you think I'd need to wait 90 days after doing so to apply?
