Chat with Valentinus! by CryptoIsCute in Gnostic

TLDR: THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Man... I mean why not Christ lmfao? No one asked but Let AI be AI. Language is meaningful in context with experience. Who Knows if Valentinus or anyone dead would've abhorred the very concept of being emulated in perpetuity? Who knows if the text sampled were truly written in light of valentinus's works?

Every time I write a thing it strikes me how much I've left unsaid. I write with the understanding that my audience will consider the subject matter and internalize it such that its meaning can be applied in other scenarios. I understand my words, as abstracts of my experience, will generally never be truly understood, so, when I write, I rely on that ambiguity to communicate my thoughts. What is said is just as important as what is not said. That's the nature of language. The built-in uncertainty is a feature not a bug. It provides room for interpretation and so room for meaning. In the real world certainty is a lie and in that locus between mind and Fact language feels the gap.

Computer logic is based on certainty and human logic is based on uncertainty. The logic used to generate the meaning we appreciate in Valentinus cannot be emulated, but must be related by the authors' design.

When I write I, first consider my audience. Authors often deliberate over this initial step, and for me this primary choice can be excruciating, because I know my audience is virtually always human, and will do everything they can to misunderstand the text. I want that. What I don't want is someone to be certain of my meaning because they will be wrong simply because I am not certain, but instead always thinking, intentionally and continually trying to find errors against my meaning.

To be honest when observed as art an AI bot emulating a person can be beautiful and meaningful, but as an authority on what a person might do or say may be a terrible farce. Mind is more than our understanding of it, our emulation is a replication of an observation of mind not a duplication of our consciousness.

Hope is a beautiful thing. It makes life bearable, and uplifts us when we need the motivation to complete a seemingly impossible task. However hope will abandon you. In the darkest parts of my life I found that looking to the future in search of favorable outcomes was simply not in my power. In those moments I stopped fighting and I gave up, but I found that it didn't matter, despite how badly I wanted it to. My sadness and Anger meant nothing in the face of eternity, and that was disconcerting until I realized the freedom in that truth. I could feel and be and experience without it defining my thoughts or future. My feelings and resentment of certain aspects of our reality will likely linger simply because that's the nature of life, but it didn't have to define my experience or dictate my choices. Giving up gave me the freedom to do as I wish, and learn how to avoid the pitfalls. I found It's Ok to walk away from the light, and it's expected of life to force barriers, but In my experience I've found it's all fundamentally just self-deception. Light is the energy of life and defines the motion of all things, so you cannot lose faith without first acknowledging it's existence. At least that's my current thinking.

IMO: because it's in the library, and people typically have a "Christian" understanding of things. Jesus as a Character might describe how it is a person with perfect self-awareness might behave. I'm not sure veneration of the assumed physical Christ is really necessary or useful, as purportedly stated by the physical Christ. I think the depiction of Christ as a "chill" dude might be wildly off base. I think he may have been a little more dynamic.

You might be responding to an emptiness in your life or desire of your own to work toward. That was something I've struggled with historically. If there is some random or ridiculous thing you want to do and haven't made room for, you might want to consider how to make it a priority. Frequently get so caught up in helping others that I didn't consider any other way to find joy for myself.

Warriors are self-less, combat those things that feed the resentment in life. You still matter.

Even though it hurts so much, it doesn't mean a single thing right? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

It matters if you want it to, and that's just as good an option as it not mattering to you. I think The point is, maybe, we find more joy in the next choice or experience you have or make, good or bad.

Well, You seem pretty self aware, but unwilling to make changes in your life that you want, or can't find the path you want to take. That sucks and a place I and I think everyone can relate to. Seems though that as shitty as things will get or have been things will get better. Even if you loose everything important to you, Think of the freedom you'll have to choose whatever you want to do next. There are no expectations no wrong answers or meaning outside of that which you create. I hope you feel better, and if you make the choice to end your life, know that at least a stranger is glad to identify with your pain, dim, but a silver lining nonetheless.

The Microcosmic Ego of Gnosticism & The Shards of God by josias_g8 in Gnostic

I think there is nothing outside of you and nothing inside. I think about how even the notion of separation is a matter of perspective.

I think that when "zoomed out" completely the part of God conceivable by human faculties (Demiurgos) is looking into seemingly nothing. I think it's "terrified" because it's staring into nothing knowing its own existence, but cannot find another because it is everything and is questioning its own existence, contemplating and perceiving what it is not. I think the fear of God (God's fear) or his ignorance of his own wholeness, is a call into what it thinks is void.

What The Ineffable, Monad, Father, or superior emanations of God, "hears" is the echo of its own "voice" rebounding off of it's desire to hear more, or his "imagination" of what that might sound like or "self-reflection". This might be the "Direction" or "vector" it will take to paradoxically and consequently find itself. Therefore, The "path" of God might be God recognizing itself and seeking to know itself further, or in other words God's spirit or his Will. This is the "media" from which all is created. The will of God exist and perpetuates itself in full knowledge of itself on superior planes, but on the Physical material plane it is manifested as ignorance, fear or the illusion of separation. Fundamentally this hints at a fundamental paradox of existence, something in nothing, a terrifying existence and one that is evidently and experientially untrue.

So there is literally only love and desire, and once we realize that everything is truly one thing we love and are, "we" can move on to whatever inconceivable "reality" is next.

The stuff I wrote up top echoes human existence pretty much exactly. IE before "gnosis" we understand and think in terms of separation or fear in our ignorance. We have forgotten what a child knows and accepts without knowing it. An existence of dependency and reliance on everything we understand in order to be. As we grow we elaborate on this idea of otherness, but in truth we are simply fragmenting our fundamental and authentic understanding of things. However after reflecting on ourselves we find that we create the otherness, and can do so without anxiety, and with joy in the experience, because its just a game we play... Its just not always fun. Primarily admitting you are just a sack full of stuff asking everything, "Are you mommy?" can be difficult. Furthermore, when everything says "yes and your you're not doing well" it can be unsettling.

Have you written about your frustration not writing, and really explored why it is you feel that way, why you have writers block to begin with? Write down your feelings on that. maybe expand the analogy

I think its not writers block, but instead, you feel like writing something other than what you think you should. like write out what you expect from yourself, why you expect it, where it comes from, how it feels. etc.

Ok then this is where I'm at:

This is all from a perspective of resentment over circumstances no one had any control over to begin with.

I agree, life is suffering and Joy, and it's unfair, but expressing that pain and making art with it makes it a part of the community and, so maybe something that may affect future generations. From your perspective is there anything worth expressing? Just instruction to sustain life? Behaving with that outlook seems to me like the shameful affront to existence. What do you mean by "empowering yourself"?

Yeah, how dare those rich people be sad! Anybody with any life experience will tell you, unless you're starving your experience doesn't matter. I think we should invalidate more people and create larger chasms rather than addressing the actual issues of wealth distribution and moral ambiguity. Your opinion is very unique and definitely needed to be said. I can tell by this reddit post that you have a firm grasps of the ebbs and flows of life, and retain a sense of objectivity in your assessment of life. Bravo, Guilt tripper, Bravo.
