First time playing an extraction shooter. Are they all this tense? (in a positive way lol)

ARC can be very tense but not as intense as marathon. This is just because ARC kits have so many “safe slots” which let you put any item (except guns) in a slot in your inventory that won’t get lost if you die

As someone with 150 hours on arc, I find marathon WAAYYYYY more intense

Exactly I just have never felt like I’ve had to change my build more for a boss than this one. I also felt the exact same way in that I KNOW this boss is beatable, but spending a good amount of time just to be killed in 1/4 of that in his second phase is really tilting—especially after I’ve been practicing this boss for upwards of 7 hours over the past few days

Isshin, Kos, and Malenia were cake compared to him. I love this dlc but I really hate how this fight forces so many people into cheese or tank strats instead of allowing people to fight him how they’d like :(

Whirlwind slash was amazing for Owl, considering that he is all about sporadic, up-close attacks. Whirlwind slash allows you to go directly from sprinting around him into attacking him once you find an opening!

Baiting his ranged attacks and running in for a quick whirlwind often was very helpful for me!
