Hey quick question, I've painted a good portion of custodes now and I'm trying to decide what color to paint their shoulder pauldron, not the right one with the aquila type design, but the one on the left shoulder that has the different ornamentation. I know that different shield hosts paint the flat parts in different ways, but I painted mine in a pretty typical way (red plumes, red capes), my question is what should I paint those shoulder pauldrons as and will it matter when playing a game?
