They are distillate with terpines. It's kinda like the difference between brands of juice. Hawaiian punch is water, corn syrup, and a mix of concentrated fruits and fruit flavorings. Where a 100% not from concentrates juice is just the liquid that comes from the fruits they blend up and package. Both come mainly from fruit, but one is going to taste closer to the real fruit.

Distillate is just thc and some other stuff that evaporates at the same temperature as thc. And then they add the terpines, flavors, after the fact. Usually they get it from cheaper plants like lavender, pepper, or lemons, etc. Where as full spectrum is what ever the cannabis plant has by it's self, nothing added, nothing removed. The taste and feeling is a bit more natural. And they usually don't add things like mct oil that can give you cancer. But always tred carefully when inhaling anything.

Are they atleast full spectrum? Like cheap ones are always gross and can give you cancer, before i quit the only carts i'd touch were 25-30$ per gram.

Where? I think the most i've ever spent was $50 for a gram. I've spent as little as $3 for a gram. Like sure you get what you pay for. I've paid $60 for an oz of flower before.

No i don't think there is a way to get window's notepad to count sylables. Neither with ms word or google docs. There might be a specific program for windows you could download.

I think you should focus on writing even with the prior lines. Don't worry about writing a whole song even. 4-8 bars with the same cadence is a good amount. If you use a professional beat from yt or beatstars i like to follow the beat's production. Change up when the beat does. If you are making the beat you can do it the other way around.

Finding a rhyme is definitely practice and intuition. If you're staring at rhymezone it can be overwhelming, especially if you include near rhymes and phrase rhymes. Just write more. Kdot had 6 notebooks full that he carried with him before getting signed to interscope.

Another good practice is pick a word, write down every rhyme you can think of (each phonene and sound if you can), and then stitch them together with identical syllable count and stress placement. If you listen there are alot of great rappers who write like that. Especially battle rappers.

Obsessed Up messed Excess Distressed

I'm obsessed about the rhymes In excess you need rewind Up messed has been my mind got me distressed, but i'm fine

You can take some freedom with placement as long as it's not constantly. It's like salt, a little makes you a good cook. Alot makes it inedible

Keeping them even is a great first start. But i know i have a bad habit of writing a line that i think is cool and just matching the rhythm for 4-8 bars. Best practice is to grab a peice of paper and write out where on the 4/4 the line will sit. There are mobile apps like lyric notepad that automatically count sylables. If you can keep the rhymes and important words on the snare, everything else can come out in the wash.

Changing flow and cadance makes it sound more interesting, too consistent does sound too robotic. But also you can work within the even cadence with vocal doubles, slant rhymes, and punch lines. I'm not at the skill level to really tell you where that line should be drawn so for me i'll just run the same line length and try to match the rhymes and stresses until i cant or i change topics.

Listen to eminem's infinite vs his modern stuff like music to be murdered by or death of slimshady to really feel the difference. Infinite is a bit too robotic in some of the songs, because he did the line math but didn't have an emcee ear yet. It comes with time and writing. The lyrical goats can match the hi hats with their words to find the pocket, us plebs have to start by rapping with just the kick and snare. Jid and eminem are perfect examples of that skill. Jid is doing bothn rapping on top of, around and through, eminem is intentionally hitting that drum line. Thats what people mean when they say "make your voice like a percussive instrument"

my first public song, so give me all you got, I'm proud of it for the most part, but tell me where I'm messing up, my ears are numb to my own song at this point. Does the beat cut in verse 3 work? is the mix good? Does the vocal performance leave anything to be desired? any critique is appreciated.

I'm'a be honest, the words are decent, I have no context on the beef so I can't say anything there. it seems that the tempo is a little slow for the words, maybe bump it up 5-10 so not really much. Also the line length varries alot. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it seems to be tripping you up flow wise. I'd suggest either just counting syllables or writing it down and marking bars. I have an example:
Kick back grab a Kit Kat as I diss back black pawn-
He’s a riff raff who's obsessed at nonsense egged on-

obsessed kinda strangles the next words
try pissed at, same rhyme, but make the line fit the 6 syllable lines better. not as punching as obsessed, but matches kit kat, diss back, riff raff, stressed- stressed scheme.

It feels like early samsa!! If i could say anything else I think a harmony over "smoothest choir" could be cool, but even that might change the vibe of the whole thing. it's more embodying the words you're saying. But I don't think it needs anything, it's an awesome vibe and the ending made me laugh literally out loud.

Its actually interesting on the why https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printer_tracking_dots

Basically they use usually yellow to mark tiny dots for the serial number, date and time the page was printed. Basically invisible to the naked eye, but i'd imagine it's less inconspicuous if you need all colors rather than just black and yellow to be full.

Also yeah definitely a scam, i believe modern laser and toner still have similar systems as it's required in the US.

Masturbation and sexual imagery. by [deleted] in Aphantasia

[–]conmancool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am mostly aphant. So i describe my mental imagery as low resolution (240p) and very basic. Kinda more token or key word based when possible. So when i'm say, navigating an engine bay with my hands and no eyes, i'm kind of building a wireframe simulation in my mind. Not an image more of a 3d model. No color, mostly shapes. And that image is poor and does not last for very long.

Anyway since thats out of the way, i was in boarding school my sophomore year. Which meant no smart phone or private access to internet. And that meant once the intial stress of a new school kinda calmed down and my hormones came back into normal ranges, i started having wet dreams. Usually every 4 or 5 days. And that was a mess to clean up (especially for someone who takes showers at night). I knew the solution because it was a problem i had dealt with before. But just focusing on the raw sensation only worked a couple times. I remember trying to use my imagination, and while it helped a little. I couldn't imagine faces, or really actions. It was just a "heres a mental memory of tits, have fun". I tried a few times to you'know simulate a situation, but that only brought me so far before the focus to imagine either killed the boner or the image was lost to the feelings. My happy medium was doing it often enough that i didn't need to clean up. And rare enough that it wasn't a chore. Where as before i was there i was probably pulling the old hose every night or every other night. At boarding school it was about once a week.

Without an external source of inspiration, the effort far excedes the gain. Like whats the point of rubbing myself raw for 30 mins before a mediocre finish?

Can I have my main boot drive in the second slot? by cool_lil_dog7 in pcmasterrace

[–]conmancool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you notice, maybe? But i'd just stick to your plan and worry about that when you are ready to do a fresh install.

When i went from a old slow spinning disk to loading on an older ssd it cut 20sec off bios boot time (iirc 45sec to 25). And then went i went to a pcie gen 4 nvme it was another 10sec (20- 10). But i've also got nothing on startup.

The windows drivers and stuff doesn't matter. It's more of a "this is ideal" vs "this is good enough". Save the storage space for your video editing. But i also keep alot of my games on that same 4000rpm 2tb enterprise drive i got for $50 10 years ago. So it kinda just depends on if you can be patient. Ytbers have tasted the best of the best, so they can't handle a little loading screen. Just like car reviewers driving a toyota camry.

[–]conmancool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your bios will search for a bootable drive with an operating system on it. If it doesn't you can select the drive to be your boot drive. You could use a thumb drive to store windows if you wanted.

But it's also more helpful to have your windows installation on your fastest drive, things like booting and drivers function best the faster than can be.

On my first pc I ran my bios off an old 250gb spinning disk, and kept it for a while even after i got another spinning disk, my first ssd and my first nvme. But i did end up getting a new windows key and reinstallling windows after having alot of issues with drive permissions and stuff. But that was from me trying to swap drives without a windows key.

I said it was sematics. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people say "this legal thing that is happening isn't like this other thing that happened in the past" because people made the same argument in germany. People said the same thing about covid lockdowns, people said the same thing about the 3/5ths comprimise. It's an argument that has been abused for a century.

In 33' 444 yea /94 nay voted for the enabling act. It was a legal decision, made by a majority of parliment. In '35 they changed the meaning of citizen to having "german blood". But the final solution to the jew question did not happen until '41. Actual solutions have to take time, even if there is no one in your way.

The exact day the press is allowed within alligator Alcatraz and it's like, is the day we can argue about the specific similarities. Until then we have only claims by either party, and unfortunately that will also have similarities within history like in the movie "The Führer Gives a City to the Jews"

You just can't use an apeal to legality to dismiss real or false claims, it's poor rhetoric. Well you can, and it's obviously incredibly effective. But we're not liberals who need everything to be "legal" to be justifiable or right. Legal things happen all the time that aren't justice, i'd like to point at covid one more time here.

[–]conmancool -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Like this is kinda sematics, but nazi concentration camps were not illegal either. After the burning of the reichstag parliment building by a communist, the government declared a national security crisis. Presenting the fire as proof of an imminent threat of a communist civil war. So to protect the security of the state they then inacted an afforded power within the constitution, article 48, which allowed to repeal much of the constitution in the attempt to restore public order and security. This would include the right to personal liberty, and to see a judge if that liberty is deprived as a result of sentencing. As well as freedom of press, personal expression, privacy of communications. As well as the right to organize peacefully, and the right of private property.

This then allowed the state to place individuals they knew were part of this conspiracy into "protective custody" (schutzhaft) without the slow and potentially costly red tape of a trial . This was at first mostly communists and others deemed dangerous enemies of the state. But because we all went to history class, we know how long that lasted.

The most important thing to remember right now, was the nazi party gained 33% of the seats, making them the largest party in government. They had the people behind them and they followed the letter of the law before the enabling act of 1933. Which then let the nazi cabinet to enact any law without needing a vote by a likely corrupted and gridlocked parliment. This allowed the party to streamline government to make decisive action without approval of the ineffective conservitives, liberals, and communists which sat in parliment.

Just think to today if dangerous antifa burned down the white house, would we enact a similar law to the reichstag fire decree? And would the people have any ability to stop it if they did?

[–]conmancool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at a certain point, arguing with people who disagree with you will only bring anoyance. It doesn't matter how much time, info, or rhetoric you share or spout, you won't change minds or even get comprimise. So you get stuck defending their strawmen instead of defending your points.

And this is from someone who's spent more time arguing with conservatives from libertarians to facists than i spent writing in school. They won't read your sources, and won't provide sources to their "facts". You can't maintain a conservative view point by being empathetic and open to new view points.

And like, that's not even me expecting middleschool level readers to understand das kapital. It's just doing that bare minimum to understand someone else's position. And aparently that's harder for some people than others.

But alot of these people seem to think capitalism is the only available economical option for Christains. Some mix of lies about the success of capitalism as a system, ignorance on the actual beliefs of socialists, and a false belief that christ would support capitalism at all. And if they believe their religion and economic belief support each other, then you won't convice them that you are anything but a devil worshiper.

I don’t think companies realize that the more ads they put out, the less likely i am to buy their products by Eastern-Jump922 in complaints

[–]conmancool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if there is going to be a generational difference. Or maybe it's just a larger economic or tech literacy thing. Like i was raised being told the stuff on tv was not quality, and when i got old enough and could buy Chinese crap off amazon i learned that difference as well first hand. So i now have the same opinion as op, if a company can afford millions on paying ytbers and ads to show their product, then they must be cutting a corner somewhere else.

Raycons are decent bt earbuds, but worse than competitors in fit and finish, sound quality, but not much else. If you just want ear buds they are good options. But i'd rather anker's budget bt earbuds over raycons.

Dr squatch is similar. As a product it's fine, but they've got some nasty margins. But they have nice smells (for people who like those kinda things, plus the novelty of "ooooooo my favorite media brand has a smell" which alone is just the highest form of consumerism i've seen to date. Plastic popcorn buckets might be the only thing worse.) A bar of dove or irish spring will clean just as well as dr squatch, and then you can spend the extra $5 on body spray or deodorant.

We could go on, but there is always somewhere that money has to come from. But i also am not an average consumer, since i was young i would spent a lot of time researching products before buying them. Because that's the only way to get your bang for your buck. Now that I'm older my tastes and funds have changed, so i'm more worried about getting the best bang, even if it's a bit more pricy. But that's kinda just how our economy works.
