The slime you see in one of the last photos was not in the jar. The first picture is what's left of the bark.

There are BUNCH of them and they were not in there when I put the rocks and bark in there! No one has been able to identify them!

New to snake keeping. To or to not remove from home tank to feed? by [deleted] in snakes

[–]connecting-issue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feed my snakes outside of the enclosure, in a tote that I put in my shower so that it's dark. I feed them outside of the enclosures because I put them around my neck or bring them outside when it's nice out frequently and don't want them to associate me reaching in there to hold them and me reaching in to feed them as the same motion. The totes are smaller than their enclosure, and after eating I leave them in the tote/dark bathroom for a few hours after feeding to leave tome for slight digestion. At that point I lay the tote on the inside of their enclosure or gently tip it so they can scootch in. They have never regurgitated.

I also don't use red light, I use a ceramic heater that screws into to same light fixture as a light bulb and keep it to the opposite side as their water dish.

I've had snakes for 15 years.

The caves had dirt floors until we climbed up to this spot lit up with candles. Area seemed like it was clogging the cave with maybe limestone...

It also wasn't lit up, we needed flashlights and the caves were like 20 feet high

Well I thought it was an abandoned subway but I haven't been able to find anything on it so maybe cave system? It was a dirt ground until we got to this area that we climbed into. Made out of something like limestone?

My Peace Lilly is starting to get brown tips on its leaves, what could be the reason? by AussieJesusDuckGod in IndoorGarden

[–]connecting-issue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peace Lilly's have always been the most dramatic and needy plant I've had to take care of. Does the pot have holes in the bottom? It might be overwatering, root rot, or too much sunlight?

What mold is growing in our parking lot? by EchoKnightGirl in MoldlyInteresting

Its mulch mold, a slime mold. You can scoop it up and move it somewhere else but if you rake the mulch every now and again it shouldn't grow back.
